looks like my priest mmr is 1900 and that toon ended at 2104.
My paladin looks to have gone from 2150 to about 1950.
So thats a welcomed change to the full mmr reset.

mmr never gets reset in a new season, only in new xpac (maybe) i believe, its a soft reset, down like ~300 pts

how did i not know this. that would make sense why season 1s are always such a slog.
It’s a soft reset. The thing is, overall rating will probably be lower because participation will be lower.
This is intentional 
Hard reset @ expansion start, soft resets in btwn seasons.

It’s criminal as a healer that’s near 2.1 cr rn I’m stuck healing the absolute worst glue eating dps that are some how in my lobbies. Another fun season of healing shuffle woooooooo. I’m quitting this game as a healer that’s not a disc priest is a miserable experience.

mmr has never fully reset
most of the time my 2400-2700 characters start between 1900 and 2200 depending
someone beat me to it but i have yet to see mmr roll over higher than 2180-2250 so far playing the game but it’s possible that only happens above 3200 or something not sure

I always throw shuffles end of season for easy start.
Idk how you could expect anything less than clown fiestas on day 1 of a new season

MMR is much higher now than the start of last season
The problem is everyone rerolled their new fotm they have no idea what to do or what defensives are because blizzard doesn’t make them do a minimum requirement course before they get into the arena so I get the joy to deal with these robots
Of course lol, people are going to want to play the best specs. And there were a bunch of changes to several classes+very different pacing now vs s1. People will need some time to adjust and realize that situations where they were fine before aren’t fine now
People are gonna make mistakes, all you can do is focus on you and try to stay positive. I’ve seen it lots where someone is going 0-4 or something, and they get flamed pre-game, tilt and then play even worse the last 2 games, but I’ve also seen people turn it around and steal the last 2 with some adjustments to their play, whereas I dont see that happen as much with someone raging
Blitz is definitely insane too. Obviously lower than last season, but my starting mmr was 2.7k
Friends that were 3200~ last season have a starting mmr of 2900.
Oh and you get more points per win in Blitz now
It’s usually just me on an inferior healer fighting the might disc reroller(hpal from last season) and us going 3-3 and me losing mmr because I’m higher rated than everyone I get paired with
i get 1-2 mmr lol or lose 40-50. Rip
Seems same as every dragonflight season to me.
permanent meme bracket, glad and (at least to a tiny extent) legend are the only pvp achievements left in the game that tell you anything at all xd
