Does your guild have a active guild chat?

Or is everything on discord?

I hate being on discord all the time, I don’t understand this. Seems like most guilds I join are dead silence and communicate only on discord…

Our guild chat is pretty empty because we normally chat in our raiding community. We also have a pretty active discord.

Well. It varies. I’m usually trying to encourage guild chat usage but a lot of people do use discord as well.

No to both.

She’s dead.

We have a very active guild chat but we are just 3 or 5 people max

my guild doesnt recruit, and consists of players that were there prior to the recruiting ending, friends, and family.

and most of them are inactive. only three of us really get on anymore.

so… dead.

More chatting on Discord.

Nope. it is completely silent. I am the only one in my guild, both Alliance and Horde. I like it this way.

theyre both DEAD :smiling_face_with_tear:
hope it picks up a little more starting today

Mostly discord, unless it is tuesday or raid nights, then gchat is going like crazy

I like discord because we can be involved in chat even away from the game.

When people are actively playing they generally use in game chat. Hardly anyone playing these past few weeks. That will change tonight.

I was in a guild with 65 online and you felt like you were alone in guild chat.

i always talk in both you say something totally silly alot even the introverts start talking same as i treat trade when its dead all you gotta do is say something silly and people start talking out of the blue.

We use guild chat most often, because we’re in game. We’re old and don’t see the point in alt-tabbing or moving to a second monitor to talk to each other. Most of us don’t have second monitors.

Instead guild chat will be filled with “GAHHH WHY DOES NOTHING WORK”.

I joined with a guild that talks pretty often in guild chat. There is greetings, and even grats for achievements sometimes too!
We have a discord that also has consistent convos more about RL. Although I am new a lot of them have been here playing with each other since vanilla.
I find that to be so cool, and you can see it in how comfy everyone is. No drama.

Dang this starting to sound like a recruitment thread and that wasnt my intention. But as a previously mostly solo player I am very very happy to find such a home. Its even making my Dragonflight hype bigger cuz I will be able to raid and mythic with these amazing peoples in a whole new xpac soon!

TLDR: yes
EDIT: me grammar bad!

I just recently joined my guild about two or three weeks ago. Whether the guild chat is active depends on who is on. We have a fair number of members, but I haven’t seen a large number of active players. For our active player base, though, we have a pretty good number of talkative players.

I dislike the trend toward putting everything on Discord. When I was active in EVE Online, corporations (their version of guilds) tended toward a lot of third-party programs, and that got really irritating very quickly. I stopped playing EVE for a lot of reasons, but that was in the top three, for sure. I don’t want to have to download (and log into) a third-party program just to play a game.

If it becomes standard for games to incorporate Discord somehow, then I might be open to it. If I could log into WoW and be automatically logged into Discord as well–and have the UI integrated into the game so I don’t have to Alt+Tab–then I’d be onboard, so long as I retain the ability to “appear offline” at will.

Guild chat IS discord these days. So much more useful.

Both. We are awesome like that.
