Does your character have siblings?

Curious how many people have thought about this.
whats there story?

Zhaoyang, the main character portrayed on this Monk, is an only child. I have occasionally imagined her mother lightly prodding her to have children in the past; particularly when imagining the interactions between those two.

Two of my other Pandaren characters, Zhihao and Ju, both have siblings:

Zhihao has an older sister, Yun, whom she had to kill relatively recently; during the last Legion invasion. To summarize, the sisters were originally part of a clan of assassins who were decimated before the parting of the mists. During the last Legion invasion Yun gathered the remnants of that group and others and formed a clan of Felsworn Pandaren which Zhihao helped destroy. During that conflict Yun lost control of her clan and soon aided in their destruction. Near the end of the conflict she goaded Zhihao into a duel in hopes of paying for her mistake with her life.

Yun’s body and soul are currently in the custody of the Ebon Blade, where one of its members (one of my DKs) is preparing to raise her as an initiate. Zhihao allowed this in hopes of giving her sister a second chance at heroism.

Ju has several brothers, both older and younger. I’ve never contemplated their relationship much, other than the sides they take in occasional conflict between Ju and her mother; even then it’s as simple as some support her mother and the others are relatively neutral.

Currently, Tanthelara only has one sibling - a younger sister named Renari. I’m trying to keep the option of her having another sibling open in case I need to use that for a future story.

Renari is approx 50 years younger than Tanthelara (the rule of thumb I use for blood elf lifespans is [apparent age in human years] x 10, and write off any wonky-ness as side effects of fel usage from before the Sunwell restored and/or its interaction with the Sunwell). She has a gift for magical acuity throughout childhood (which appears to have been passed on to her son) but never took a serious interest in developing it, being content to live a rather humble civilian life as a wife & homemaker. She lost her first child to the Scourge during the sacking of Quel’thalas, the anger and sorrow of which she keeps repressed in rather unhealthy ways (a family flaw, it seems, as Tanthelara also does that). She currently has a young son and is pregnant with her 3rd child as of the last story she was featured in ([Prompt] Anniversary - #4 by Tanthelara-thunderhorn). Renari stands slightly shorter than Tanthelara, is raven-haired compared to Tan’s nearly-platinum blonde, with a darker complexion.

Renari is inspired by, and loosely based upon, two women in my life whom I love very much - my aunt and my baby sister (even if she’s an in-law, lol).

Astrea has a twin sister, Maesha; a Priestess of the Moon and a member of the Sentinel Army. The two were rather close before the War of the Ancients but have since been apart until relatively recently, when Astrea offered her service to her sister’s cadre. They collaborated on a few campaigns, mainly throughout Kalimdor, but ultimately their time together was short. Following a mission in Suramar the cadre suffered heavy losses. Nonplussed by the time it would take for it to recover Astrea left in pursuit more personal endeavors, leaving Maesha to rebuild.

During Astrea’s service the two clashed a bit on certain points, in part due to Astrea’s secular nature and Maesha’s inferior knowledge of the arcane. Astrea’s yearning for greater agency also contributed at times, given her sister’s position within the cadre.

Maesha is another actual character, owned by another person. The decision for our characters to be related was decided early in my time in his guild when, during an event, he noticed how similar our characters looked; if he had any other reasons I don’t know of them. The last couple lines of the last paragraph is a narrative reconciliation for the guild quietly dying and being reformed on a private server. We didn’t have a lot of opportunities to rp Astrea and Maesha’s relationship so there isn’t much to elaborate on as far as ic stuff goes.

She used to. Asana once had a twin sister named Kaya. Mirrored images of each other. Both were abandoned at a really young age and more or less grew up counting on themselves. Asana was extremely protective of her and often took on the provider role, thieving and defending to get by.

Personality wise Kaya was less combative and more reserved than Asana’s outgoing nature. She had a very creative imagination, often thinking up fantastical stories to tell and plans to attempt. Their relationship was very close and heavily dependent on each other.

But stuff happened and Kaya died to the Scourge in the Third War. She was injured in the escape and sacrificed herself for her sister to run and survive. They were sixteen years old at the time. Asana has since made peace with the past and lived on though. She wears a single earring in her right ear at all times. A small dot of amethyst, for Kaya’s favorite color, as a memento.

(Kaya was never raised to the forsaken, I didn’t really want to do that to her)

My warlock might, my shaman is an only child, my rogue I would say none of his are living or undead at this point though he does have a blood brother.

Honestly I never considered giving Ava Newmaker a sibling due to it’d be another character to RP at. Though it is interesting to roleplay two different characters at the same time on one character. I’ve seen it done numerous times.

This is going to be stupid and long. I apologize in advance, but I use these threads to try and flesh out a story I’m trying to write -_-

Daiza has an older brother, a twin brother, and an adopted blood elf sister.

Older Brother, Jon was part of Arthas’ expedition to Northrend and everyone knows how that went. He helped Scourge Lordaeron and Quel’thalas until he was restationed in Northrend after the Lich King Triumphant. When the Lich King woke up and started his campaign in the Plaguelands, Jon was there and witnessed that whole thing and joined the rest of the Alliance death knights to Stormwind, where he was reunited with his living sister Daiza.

Daiza and Ovvou are twins, but took separate callings to life. Daiza wanted to be a paladin, while Ovvou was more interested in the traditional clergy. Before the Scourge of Lordaeron, Daiza went south with her paladin class to see Northshire Abbey. While she was gone, Scourge hit, travel to Lordaeron was cut off so Daiza never returned home. Eventually Ovvou and his mother were killed by Jon and both were raised as undead to serve. While their mother was eventually destroyed during this time, Ovvou remained in Lordaeron and was eventually freed from the Lich King’s control and became one of the Forsaken.

Luminarium, or Lumi for short, was a child when her family, a group of traveling merchants were attacked by ogres in the Arathi Highlands. Many in the group was killed, including Lumi’s parents. The patriarch of the family, who couldn’t bare to leave a child alone, took her with him to his home in northern Lordaeron where she was happily adopted into the family. As stereotypical as could be, she decided she wanted to be a mage and eventually managed to find a place for herself among the mages of Dalaran. She was studying in Dalaran the Scourge destroyed washed over Lordaeron, but she had no knowledge that her family for the most part been lost. She remained in Dalaran until the Scourge corrupted the Sunwell, cutting the high elves from it’s magic. Feel the effects, she joined Kael’thas’ newly named blood elves and eventually followed him to Outland. While in Outland she would join the Scryers and remain with them until she was reunited with her now Forsaken brother Ovvou and joined the Horde to be with him and the rest of the blood elves.

Daiza upon learning what happened to her family in Northrend fell into despair and only crawled out of it due to her faith and patritoic fervor. When she came of age and was officially inducted into Stormwind’s chapter of the Silver Hand, she went out into the world to make a name for herself. Eventually adventures took her to Outland where she was reunited with both her Lumi and Ovvou. She was however, quite taken aback. Her brother was one of the undead abominations and her sweet little* sister were members of the savage Horde? She begrudgedly accepted the situation telling herself she was just happy that she wasn’t alone in Azeroth anymore. When Jon returned as well, she found herself once again questioning everything as he too, despite looking normal was still an undead abomination. But he at least…was still loyal to the Alliance.

The four would remain in limited contact (due to faction shenanigans) until the Fourth War, where Daiza breaks off contact with all her siblings; Lumi and Ovvou for being Horde, and Jon for not disowning them as well. In fact she always suspected he was the same monster that destroyed their home. She now buries herself in her duty to the Alliance everything else until the day she can put down the monsters that claim to be her kin and save whatever is left of their souls. Jon has returned to Acherus, as Daiza was the only reason he really stayed among the Alliance in the first place. Lumi and Ovvou continue to serve the Horde, though Ovvou took Sylvanas’ abandonment hard. Lumi at least hopes in time the rifts formed between them will heal and they can try and be a family again.

*Random Note. The Auvec siblings like to refer to Lumi as being the youngest of the four, but none of them actually know how old Lumi is. Her being a child when she was adopted didn’t narrow it down all that much and she herself enjoys being the baby of the family. Prior to Ovvou and Jon being undead, she enjoyed the fact that she was the baby of the family who would outlive them all anyway.

Had*

Both deceased. :<

One was slain in classic by a Blue Dragon posing as an officer in a rival guild, this dragon was also working behind the scenes with the Scourge, and in an act of cruelty had her brought back as an agent of the Lich King. Freed from the Lich King’s service in Wrath and thought to be deceased.

The other was slain during the original assault on Naxxramas by a Paladin blinded by greed and attempting to acquire the Ashbringer, which had been corrupted and corrupted him. Ultimately they slew the mad Paldain but at the cost of the remaining older sister’s life.

Revenwyn has six siblings. Or had. She does not know for sure. She knows for sure that three of them are dead. The other three are possibly somewhere still alive.

On my Male Kul’tiran monk he has 2 younger sisters. They were all really close but then the youngest was killed by pirates.

Both he and the other sister took it really hard and coped in their own way. She went off and discovered the Thornspeakers and found peace with them.

He used the bottle to cope. Spent years of his life in taverns or anywhere he could drink. He became a thug who gambled and mugged people to pay for his next drink but because of this life style he became a decent bare knuckles brawler.

One day he picked a fight with a Pandaren monk who swiftly knocked him unconscious with a single strike. This humbling along with some friendly advice from the Monk allowed him to seek out a master and begin his training as a monk in order to find peace with the loss of his sister.

He has now returned from Pandaria with new skills ready to seek out his other sister (now a powerful Guardian druid) in order to fight the evils of this world.
