Does wow really have 10M or so players?

I think it has about 4-5 million my guess. Which is still a lot considering

It wouldn’t feel any different if the game had 30 million active subscribers. WoW would never feel alive again, so long as it has 7000 different versions and its long-term designed one disincentivizes interaction, networking and making friends.

?? I never said I had the actual numbers.

Thinking about an old games population will cause harm lmao? What is wrong with wow players man.

If you think your favorite game is more popular than I do, okay. Why you felt the need to reply to me with that ridiculous comment, I don’t know.

You’re an idiot lmfao

Last count was around 500 active subs give or take.

Sure, if you are talking about characters rather than accounts. And “WoW accounts” includes all WoW game modes, even if some may never buy the current expansion or even play retail.

Mythic plus is thriving, yes (for now).

Mythic raiding, on the other hand, is hanging on by the thinnest thread you’ve ever seen in your life.

Once fellowship releases and people can enjoy mythic plus without feeling compelled to do boring chores(raid) for gear, I doubt anyone will still play mythic plus in wow.

Across all of the classics + retail maybe but I don’t think so. I think retail is probably 3-4 million. I’d estimate all the classics combined are about half of that.

Interesting how the doomfappers in the comments never cite any data or sources whatsoever in their brilliant estimations.

Keep scrolling.

Can someone other than me link some verifiable numbers please? A lot of what has been discussed here is using made up numbers

10 million sounds about right, 1 million players and 9 million bots.

Aaaand…they’re gone.

All of them operated by Blizzard to encourage the 1 million players to buy tokens and then buy their herbs and ores.

Dead WoW Theory.

There are really no verifiable numbers to link and that is by design. Blizz does not want anyone knowing other than Blizz.

I’ve been in this community for a very long time. The Mythic raiding community needs help but Sepulcher and Amirdrassil were when it was in an actual dire state. By comparison, this is genuinely healthy.

That game isn’t going anywhere and we both know it. Just like how New World didn’t go anywhere and how nobody cares about anything related to Ashes of Creation anymore.

WoW could have 10 million that come and go over a year, but at any one time, no way.
