Does WoW observe daylight savings?

I can’t remember for some reason. I could’ve sworn daily reset used to be 7 am.

Yes, they observe DST.

No. Once daylight saving time ends, resets will be an hour off from what they were.

Sort of. It does not really change at all, but what time it happens locally for you will change.

I am East Coast so reset time is 11am EDT/8am PDT right now.

Tomorrow it will be 10am EST/7am PST

So you are RIGHT. It is 7am PST. It is just that during daylight savings time our local clocks show 8am. (or whatever time zone you are in).

because they look at pst time zone where their main server is based

I really wish you americans/westerners would drop this whole daylight saving thing. It is just such a confusing mess.

Time and man is a perspectival but not with nature ,We may twist time to better ourselves but nature will always have the last laugh.

When the hour falls back, so will your daily reset time.

Except players in Arizona and Hawaii, it will be the same reset for them.

I found the DeLorean driver

I wish we would, too. We need to permanently stay on DST, because dark at 4pm in winter blows.

I wish we would as well… I’m tired of my biological clock getting messed up twice a year.

well.mine messed up completely after 33 yrs of working at night ,guess what I’m up at night ,booo.

Arizona doesn’t observe it, for what it’s worth.

But yeah, I’m not a huge fan of ‘grading daylight on a curve’ kinda thing going on with trying to ‘save’ daylight.

I’m a fan of UTC/Zulu. One nation world, under Sun

I have an old car too… mine doesn’t either. lol I have no cup holders, 4 cigarette lighters and two keys. It isn’t a stick though and doesn’t have the floor dimmer but /shrug ah well.

Wish it had a cassette player though or an 8 track player but eh.

Basically no. If you don’t change your clock where you live, reset will be exactly the same time tomorrow. If you do change your clock, reset is an hour earlier. But it’s still 24 hours.

I absolutely despise daylight savings time. It confuses everything, esp. when not everyone recognizes it. WoW supposedly uses daylight savings, and we do in Missouri too, so we should ALWAYS be 2 hours difference, whether it’s winter or summer. How does it become 3 hours difference in reset time in summer if we’re all using DST??? Makes no sense. When they say maintenance at 7am PDT, that would mean 9am CDT, now it’s become 10am CDT. So, they are giving us PST times and labelling it PDT, and it gets extremely confusing.
