Does Wow Need an "Androgynous." Option. At Character Creation?

How about a race with a third sex, like in some episodes of Star Trek?

I don’t understand what you are getting at? My assertion is simply that you could not tell the gender of the person from looking at them.

I guess I’m confused by descriptions of characteristics such as gender neutral walking and not having breasts but also not looking male. Androgynous people often pass for male or female. There are those whose male and female characteristics are more muted, but it’s not the rule. I’m not sure how you accommodate that variety with a single race.

And despite having gendered voices, Stewards seem pretty much asexual. Having other races that were created through magic rather than biology doesn’t seem like much of a stretch.

Some people have a type of narcissism that not only makes them constantly consider their ‘gender’ but they really really want others to constantly consider their ‘gender’ as well. For some reason it is one of the most important things in their lives. That said, give people what they want, IDGAF.

It would be an interesting idea for a future game to just have sliders for male and female secondary sexual characteristics and call it a day.

I understand you now. Well That is something I don’t know how blizz would do. My question is a hypothetical.

As some have mentioned in this thread. The Vulpera race is close to the mark. If you look at the Vulpera race. You’ll notice that the female hardly has noticeable breasts. she is near flat chested. If you put the same outfits on both male and female Vulpera, they look the same. You cant tell which is male and which is female.

Sorry to quote further back but I missed this my first read through. I LOLed when I read this.

I agree SO much. Other than Void and Blood Elves, they are no pretty male characters in this game. (traditionally pretty). I wanted to make a Kul Tiran Shaman or Druid and OMG no… Neither the female OR male can be made remotely attractive. And I’m not knocking the girth, WHY do they make their faces so course!?

The Kul Tiran NPCs are not like that…

That reminds me of the the game Skyrim. Every character looks haggard. The men, the women, even the kids look awful.

YES. I agree!

They’ve also done wrong by the Night Elf males. Even after they reworked their faces to not look as grim… they are GRIM LOL Nightborn too.,

There should be more options for people who want to create a male character who looks kinda feminine, or at least less manly. Currently all you can really do is roll a male belf/velf. It should be possible to make a human male in-game who is as cute as BFA cinematic Anduin. If that ever happened, I would finally get EMFH

Just as a point of interest. Many of the Japanese Korean and Chinese games and mmorps have characters that it is had to tell if they are male or female.

Well let me just correct that: Some of their characters look macho and dress male. Some of them have humongous breasts and dress real girlie. Those you know are intended to be gender identifiable. But some are made in a way you can’t tell at all.

No, WoW does not need an androgynous character option.

More options are not always a good thing. For instance, more options can destroy the unique flavor of a race.

I think it would neither add to the game nor subtract from the game.

But I would rather have the devs working on fixing the bugs in older content. Or fixing targeting. Or any number of other things that actually need doing in the game.

Hmmm…Ok how about “Would it be advantageous to have an Androgynous option.?”

Or maybe this: “Desirable option?”

Or maybe “Inclusivity option?” How about "

Ah yes I think that the devs have not noticed these problems over the years. Alas wishful thinking. The Dev have made some pretty angel peoples though. In fact if they just removed the breasts from the angels we would have Androgynous people. Oh I think we have solved the issue. Yay!

An Ooze race would solve this

You mean like an giant ameba? Jelly fish like? By the way. I don’t remember seeing any Ogre females in the game. Could Ogres be of ambiguous gender? Or are there no female Ogres. Or perhaps all the Ogres are female but look male. Oh I dunno, maybe I’m over thinking this subject?

I’d like that option, having a flatter chest option that isn’t a super muscular male would be nice. Even male blood elves are too muscled for my taste

OMG! that is just um…never mind. Though I must say Nilana you made a cute character.

More customization is always welcome. Having said that, I think it would be a better to simply add general body shape customization - make your character as fat or thin as you want, add or remove muscle, etc. Then within that system you would be able to create the androgynous character if you want, and we can all avoid hearing from the internet about it.
