The clam chowder recipe from the original cookbook is excellent.

EDIT: And as luck would have it, both books are currently on sale on Amazon in the US.
Normally $35 USD each. With current discounts you can get both for $45 plus tax/shipping. The original book is also available in a Kindle version for $13.
