Does the Worgen curse only affect humans?

Does it? Could other races be cursed if bitten?

No, because the OG Worgen were Night Elves.

What about other humanoid races like Kul Tiran or dwarves?

If the Worgen Curse can affect Humans and Elves, two races of completely different origins, it stands to reason that it could affect other humanoids.

It’s kinda like the Undead. Technically any race could be Undead, but if you pick the “Undead” race, you can only play an Undead Human.

Think of it this way: The Worgen curse is just a Druid Form that went terribly horribly wrong. So any Race that could physically be a Druid could also be a Worgen.

And since Blizz has stated they will expand all Base Classes to all Races, that means everybody lol

Probably, They’d just look like regular Worgen.

Dude. If I could be a Mecha Worgen, that would be so lit.

No they haven’t.

It’s a shot in the dark but I would adore seeing new worgen variations in Midnight since the Bloodfang pack went feral. :wolf:

edit: Something shaggy like the Yeti model. :robot::thought_balloon:

I’m imagining a huge bulky Worgen for KT and a short mini Worgen for dwarves lol

Initially, they were talking about Warlocks. But there has yet to be a shred of evidence for Gnome Druids.

Which is a flat zero.

Also, Blizzard likes to lie. A lot.

That’s because, as he said, “we are slowly getting there”.

Druids will most likely be the last Base Class to be expanded to all Races, because every new Race for Druids needs a metric ton of fully playable Druid Form models.

I think we will get Shamans in War Within (because they are the easiest), Paladins in Midnight and Druids in Last Titan, but that’s just me speculating.

We’ve only seen it work on Humans and Night Elves (and an undead). There’s a Gnome NPC in Stonetalon who wants to become a Worgen, but Hierophant Malyk says it won’t work. I have no idea why.

Good day, citizen, allow me to introduce myself. I am Salsbury, soon to be the world’s first gnomegen. Malyk has assured me that as soon as my work here is complete he will grant me the gift of the worgen.

https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Hierophant_Malyk

I’ve tried explaining to Salsbury time and time again that there is no possible way that I could transform him into a worgen. He refuses to listen and has instead convinced himself that if he gains my trust I will let him in on the secret.

Gnomes are very strange.

If you ask me, it’s Shamans. Blizzard has to come up with a new design of totem for EVERY CLASS. And how the heck do you justify Goblins assuming a Shaman?

Goblins have Shamans already though

They’ve had them since Cataclysm.

Night elf worgens would just have giant ears.

Worgen cannot be undead. This is one reason why Sylvannas hated them; she could not turn them. There is an in-game explanation for it-- the tldr is that Arugal summoned them “back,” and because they were brought about in this manner, they are “unnatural,” and cannot be turned in the same manner a human can (the Lich King is another matter).

But Undead can be Worgen

Are gnome worgen Corgis?

I’m not sure if that’s retcon… Says he was removed in Cata, which is when they changed worgen lore around a bit. It is interesting though.

Yes, they are the Corgen.
