If you have to ask the question then you’re not doing content where the answer matters.
If you enjoy it play it.

You’re asking something is viable.
If something isn’t viable, that only really matters for the highest end of content, like RWF or a top 100~ CE guild, Great Push or title pushing, Arena Cup & it’s equivalent, etc.
If you’re doing content at that level then you already know what’s viable and what isn’t. If you aren’t doing content at that level then “viability” objectively doesn’t matter.
So, again, if you’re asking if something is viable then it doesn’t matter for the content that you play at and you should just play what you enjoy.

I’m assuming this question is for pvp since ur asking about DRs and dks are immortal in pve.
2h frost dk is the best its ever been, you’d play a deathbringer build and do 30 second and 1 minute goes with remorsess winter and blinding sleet. you’re also running BOS, you can watch Xeek’s video on youtube for a full guide.
1h frost dk is also looking strong, being able to deal sustained burst dmg and also way tankier than b4 so you can stay in and do dmg again as well.

Absolutely not. If you were going to run 2h, you’d run it with Rider.
Deathbringer has no synergy at all with the nodes that 2h tends to prefer. DB cares about instances of shadowfrost dam to deliver the fastest scythes and mark re-aplication, and DW just gets more instances of shadowfrost dam on account of its attacks using both weapons.
Look at the tree logically. 2h is always gonna take Obliteration, Arcic Assault, and Long Winter. 2h’s Frost Strikes are piss and its RI application is poor, so Shattering strikes is off the table, and BoS wants a third runeforge. Realistically the only 2hf builds are going to be going the two primary capstones, and then seeking talents like 1:30 Dragon, Chill Streak, Horn, or Cold Heart.
The tier set favors Frost Strike insanely hard, and we also don’t have a 2h legendary/cantrip weapon right now. If a Shattering Blades meta, 2h just isn’t the play.
Run your own sims tho, as you’ve identified through the first two comments, platitudes are gonna be common here, this isn’t exactly a hub for competitive play.
