Not only has nearly every system been changed and overhauled but none of the “old guard” the original wow devs who built world of warcraft from the ground up still work for blizzard. (Besides Chris Metzen who only does story).
Is world of warcraft the same world of warcraft but just changes? Or does it have a completely new essense?

The essence of what WoW is has not changed, at least since I started.
New things, new systems, at the end of the day its still the game I play and fell in love with.
The game itself feels like it’s matured in a lot of ways. I still feel nostalgia and I feel evolved too. All things considered I think they’ve got a good balance.
