I know there is a good bit of the community who doesn’t like to pvp. I’m generally curious if the new a.i. battlegrounds will make you want to play them? Despite being advertised as “pvp”, it is essentially pve content with a.i. enemies.
Is this enough to make you try them out? If you do end up liking it, would this help ease you into to the regular pvp versions? Do you hope to see this get implemented in other BGs?
I would love to hear everyone’s opinions, thoughts, and even concerns.
I like them. I much prefer Arathi to Darkshore though.
The thing I dislike the most about PvP is the jumping. Didn’t click until I was doing an Island expedition and the opposing “team” was bunny hopping everywhere.
The mobs don’t jump in the warfronts.
The rewards aren’t too shabby if you have the patience to weed through the dups.
I don’t know if they mentioned it yet, but I wonder if you’ll be rewarded the same way as a regular battleground? Will achievements work? Might be a good way to farm marks of honor for transmog.
I prefer actual pvp as well. But I wonder if this new version would entice non-pvp lovers to give it a try?
True. Low item level gear could be a problem. Perhaps ranking up their honor rank, obtaining marks of honor for transmog, and achievements could possibly be enough to get people to dive into them more. I guess time will tell. But you are right that if the armor is weak, people may tend to shy away.
At the end of the day, at least you’ll have a new piece of content to enjoy
I understand pvp isn’t for everyone. I hope the new a.i. mechanic allows pve’rs some additional fun content they may have not wanted to try before.
I can guarantee you people will stay away. How many people do you see running Uldir these days? If the reward is gear and that gear does not scale with current content then it is pointless.
Blizzard does this constantly and never understand why people complain.
