This right here. Trust levels aren’t just insulting but it’s a huge pita to try to maintain.
We have lives and are not meant to live them on a game forum.
The only benefit to T3 I can think of is being able to post cartoons/emojis/some videos.
Not worth the time investment imo.
I’m not sure I believe the 20k posts requirement. I maintain TL3 and I’m fairly certain I don’t read 200 posts per day.

I’ve never noticed the dot until right now.

I would be leery of using just that strategy simply because the system knows which threads you are participating in so if you read 20,000 posts that are listed between six mega threads the system is going to know you weren’t really actively participating in the entire forum. While it may still count, it may not count in the way you think it will so it is beneficial to step into a lot of different threads. Read through all of them and be sure to comment in each.
Plus access to the special secret forum for TL3 and higher!

We should get a “tool” on the forum to know what we must still do to get the TL3.
For example, we could get:
You have:
- 5/10 replies on the last 100 days
- 261/500 topics viewed on the last 100 days
- 16 534/20 000 read posts on the last 100 days
- reveived 10/20 likes on the last 100 days
- given 18/30 likes on the last 100 days
- 0/5 spam or offensive flags on the last 100 days
It would be so mucu easier with this to follow what is missing to get it.
Funny it’s not something I ever thought about or tried to do but I’ve hat T3 for years.
yeah I saw that too and thought, so only bum sniffers and people who eggshell walkers get to have rank three on the forums.
I just saw I have to give likes, so I gave you one to help my grind

I don’t like how it’s so unforgiving
So I guess I’ll never be trust level 3
That’s kind of strange then. Why have all those requirements if they’re not really required?
i remember going for that… for some reason, i would go to the giant threads, click the mouse wheel in and have it auto scroll down while i went and did something else.
It’s all a bit silly really.
I’m definitely never making that list for code of conduct reasons
They are required… I simply meant I’ve always met the requirements without needing to put effort to it or even think about it.
It’s a super old system meant to farm page impressions.
Blizz does not run ads here but it’s generic so other companies will if they use it.
Back in ye olde days, Google paid per page impression.
Forums became internet gold, add in forum fomo like ranks and the like and you’ve got a money printing machine.
I started making fan sites back when Diablo was current and I had a Delta Force 2 fan site as that xpac was about to launch.
My buddy also had a DF2 fan site but he ran ads and he was also quick to get a forum up and running.
As DF2 got close to launch, his forum blew up and stayed blowed up.
I kicked myself for sleeping on it. I felt stupid but sadly that boat had sailed, I had missed my chance, but the lesson learnt was big.
Just some insight, possibly completely wrong, but that’s my experience.
