Does that mean Dragon Riding will be unlocked at around level 10?

Since Players get Dragon Riding early in Dragonflight and the new player experience is going to be Exile’s Reach → Dragonflight when War Within launches.

From testing on the 10.2.5 PTR, while you can summon a Dragonriding mount at level 10, you can’t seem to take to the skies with them until lvl 30, like with static flying mounts.

They could change this specifically for Dragon Isles when TWW launches.

Also, I think they need to implement a way to access the Dragonriding skill tree when you are not high enough to access the Dragonisles because right now the only way for a < lvl 60 person to access the Dragonriding Skill Tree on the PTR is through a macro.

Aw man. I was hoping to dragon ride at 10.

Quite excited for dragon riding in general for leveling. It’ll make it much better.

It’s going to make playing in the older zones more desireable, I think.

So Dragonriding will be availble on the old continents in 10.2.5. I’ve been wondering what the time line was. Any information on Pandaria or Northrend?

I think it is currently enabled everywhere. It’s definitely enabled in Outland and BfA zones.

Works in Pandaria, so should work everywhere on the PTR.

Just to add to this thread which was the one that came up when I googled, as far as I can tell, you will have to be Level 60 in order to “dragon ride” anywhere.

You can run around on the ground on DR mounts at 10, and you can fly at 30, but it’s only old-style flying, not dragon riding, even on DR mounts.

And of course until you get to DF, there’s no way to customize the DR mounts.

I copied various characters up to level 45 over to the PTR and none of them could “dragon ride” out-of-the-box and AFAIK there’s no way to get to any content that would allow you to enable it before you get to the Dragon Isles at 60.
