Does any buff that increases a characters size have any benifit in combat? Eg. Farther mele range?
No. Some tall races have troubles with doors, though
In PvP the enemy can see you more easily.
So if there is no actual advantage why have they beem removing ways to get rly big.
because people would make themselves huge and block mailboxes and important NPC’s
Mostly because it can get annoying for other people. To my knowledge the biggest you can get now is Darkmoon Firewater + Winterfall Elixir, which is slightly bigger than Elixir of Giant Growth. I mean this just for sustainable buffs, not temporary ones with long CDs like the world shrinker.
Because no fun allowed.
Well this at least has a practical reason behind it, but generally yes that’s true. I was so sad to find out the honorary brewmaster keg inexplicably has a much longer CD than it lasts for.
Blizzard developers are diaperfurs and aren’t particularly into size difference play.
It’s not the size of the boat, it’s the motion of the ocean. Just ask Lord Admiral Jaina Proudmore lol.
Not really but if this is somehow a grievance of limits on growth potions and size enhancer, blame the jerks who’d use it to block auctioneers, questgivers, mailboxes, etc. Some doing it to troll/be douchey and some because they’re kooky dooks and think they’re a monster akin to Godzilla or king Ghihadora. These shenanighans are why we can’t have nice things.
Its always a couple jerks who ruin thinhs for everyone
Easier to target people I would assume. Other than that, doubtful.
it’d be insanely fun to be able to stay out of melee range of a gnome whilst stabbing them in the face repeatedly with a polearm as a much taller race.
Because the getting big part can be used to clip through terrain.
Because people turn into skyscrapers and make the cities impossible to use.
I thought this was something else…
Yes, seen alliance player doing tauren form thing, using other thing to increase size, then being on cliffstomper mount, right by stormwind Ah mailbox.
Really it comes down to the fact that it was used to grief/annoy other players. Things like standing on mailboxes, npc’s, ect.
There is no benefit or negative to it other than your character is bigger and doors may be a problem. It got way out of hand at one point which is why Blizzard did things like put caps on them, make certain buffs not stack, ect.
