title says the question do they really make a difference
On classic yeah, retail only if you care about guild perks/guild clears
And this
Yes. It matters. Esp. as far as guilds or finding like-minded players is concerned, its easier to do so within your own server than look around cross-realm. Mythic raids require you to be on the same server too.
To some extent yes. You can’t trade non consumables cross servers unless they are connected. If you’re in a dungeon or raid group, you can trade gear cross servers to anyone eligible for it.
It sort of depends, if you’re a really hardcore player or a roleplayer then yes this matters, but if you’re just some parent that has to take care of little johnny then no.
what about someone returning for DF to level to the new max who dosent care about mythic raiding or even normal or heroic (wrath will take most of my time if you couldnt guess)
Doesn’t matter. /10 char
someone thats just going to level to 70 in DF and maybe do heroic 5 mans so to answer your question i guess ill just be a tourist
Well okay, let me ask you this. So are you more of a casual player or are you wanting to reach your goals?
If you’re hardcore, I recommend Area 52, this server is known to have a lot of jerks but it is a wonderful server in terms of progressing. Lots of good guilds and people.
If you’re a bit more casual, but wanting to achieve things then I recommend Thrall. Many friendly people
Any home will do.
Just avoid the newb servers…dead ones only the unknowing first timers go here.
My son was happy to say dad I made level 10.
didn’t know you started son but cool! what server?
it was a newb one. Told him come to mine and reroll a new char (mg or wra) if wanting start up goodies or other servers.
now since a faerlina player unless you liked a repeat of your weeks of qeueue for DF…I’d not have A52 or Tichondrius on the wish list unless you really want that.
Very decent horde servers for sure. They ahve qeueue’d out on expac starts though. Not as as bad faerlina/bene/grobb but…I’d not take off from work week 1 to get into the game on drop.
could be better this time…time shall tell.
ya i had somsone else suggest area 52 whne i mentioned rolling the darkside this time around beiing a mianly alliance side player since i started but was just wondering if server matters im not looking to do any cutting bleeding edge raceing just see what content or lack of content
If you’re only pugging then answer is NO
If you want to be in a real guild and progression in mind especially mythic then the answer is YES
Here’s the thing, it is still possible to do cutting-edge content but it really depends on the guild you’re in. Not sure what Bleeding Edge is though, I’m assuming mythic raiding? But yeah, it all really depends on the content and what you’re looking for. But overall, for me personally and where I am at in this game, then yes it matters to me.
oh fearlina isnt my main server pagle is lol i just made this during pre patch but never played it after i saw the queues lol
Dalaran was a new players server when I started. Now it’s full, and one of the bigger ones around.
ya like i said just wanting to level to max maybe get some pre raid gear maybe big maybe see how the first raid is but seeing as i havnt set foot in end game in retai in almost 3 years i will be very out of the mix depends whats going on in wotlk when first raids open
Yeah, then I’d recommend thrall.
I mean game hasnt change much. If it’s swirlies on the floor 9/10 it’s bad and you should avoid it. Dont stand infront of boss unless you’re a tank or you dont have any other choice.
i’m almost exclusively focused on m+ and have had a great time on thrall. recommended!
is it because you get invited into pugs easily or it has a very active m+ grouping?
