Does Rustfeather drop a mount?

Wowhead says this dirty bird drops us a wheelie cycle. But, 32 kills later (using Alts) I don’t see anything. Lotsa people camping him too, but not many wheelie cycles. I figure there’s a low drop chance.. but how low does it go? .00001%?

Thinking its better off just doing the achievement to get your cycle, greedy no loot dropping bird.

Not sure about a mount but I’m pretty sure Rustfeather is the rare that drops the blueprint for the anti-gravity gadget.

The Rustfeather mount presumably is at the usual 1% drop rate. But I’ve seen people with it so the chance is always there.

Seen someone on the Mount in Borlaus on my Alliance toon. they do drop, but I’ve heard it’s lower than 1%

He drops a mount and the jetpack schematic, so if you’re not camping him all day you’ll never see him tbh.

Pretty sure I got my jetpack schematic from the scrap king.

I hate to be “that guy,” but I got the Junkheap Drifter on my first kill. I didn’t even have to camp the spawn.

This, of course, means that I will never get the one from Soundless, no matter how many hours I spend lurking in Coral Forest. And honestly the fact that his mount isn’t 100% despite him basically being the new TLPD is pretty lame.

Really long spawn cycles for rare drops?

I feel like I’m playing EQ again.

At least it’s not like trying to hunt Loque’nahak in wrath for a pet with everyone else trying to kill it for a stupid tear drop. Honestly I don’t mind it being rare though I do hate having to basically camp there for an hour when I could be questing. Course if I quest he’ll spawn when I’m swamped with mobs so yeah it’s camp or miss out.

Sitting online waiting for a spawn while I’m actually playing games on my phone or watching TV is kinda stupid to me.

What’s the design objective? Please log in and… ignore the game?

I don’t mind the rare drop. But rare drop and slow spawn is just jerkish time wasting design.

EQ didn’t know any better. You’d think by now that the Blizzard team would.

I’ve seen it drop, it’s most likely a 1% drop. Could be even lower, but it’s probably 1%.

I have been farming Rust everyday on multiple alts. The mount SCREAMS Goblin to me. I need it!

I had 7 alts farming him and no mount. My patience is done is all I can say

Joined a 40 man raid where no one got it, done trying for a mount I’d likely never use.

Where were the campers last nite when I ran into that mean stealth bird by myself and got wtfpwnt? Could’ve used the help.

Seriously, all the birdies up there were yellow so seemed safe til I ran over the red named bird. It was dark up there.

Think he drops the blueprint to make jetpacks. That was what my friend was telling me. Should’ve called him for help.

yea, the low mount drop rate would not be as bad if you could just login kill him and be on your way.
