Does rogue have awesome class questline

I remember on my shaman the water totem quest took me all over the world and took hours to complete. Does the rogue have anything similar

Yes.

Rogues have the entire Ravenholdt series of quests.

Hmm, yes but subjectively not as good as the Shaman quest.

There’s a small one early on where you have to pick pocket someone and that’s pretty much it.

Later on near level 20, there’s a quest for poisons. A lot of young Rogues remember being poisoned for days before understanding what to do.

Oh man, now I feel silly. Did I completely miss out on this in Vanilla? Darn.

Well you still get classic to try it in

If you have poisons, you did not. You may have forgotten though.

Thank you for the link. After quickly reading, I do remember pick pocketing a heck of a lot with the mobs, and leveling my lockpicking with the boxes I got.

I’ll admit I’ve forgotten for the most part. Thank you so much for reminding me. I favorited that page, I’ll be needing it.

Random thing to mention, but while doing prep work for classic launch I actually learned something about the Horde Rogue poison quest line I somehow NEVER knew before, despite having multiple rogue toons over the years, and rogue being the only class I’ve played from vanilla-bfa.

In the tower there’s 3 sets of mobs on your way to the boss guy with the chest… Each set of mobs in the tower has a specific vulnerability, that’s not in the quest text anywhere.

The ground floor mobs basically instantly die to ambush

2nd and 3rd level get dunked on by bleeds (garrote/rupture) or eviscerate (I might have the order backwards on which floor is bleeds and which is evisc)

And the final boss guy will instantly lose half his health to ambush.

I’d literally been brute forcing that quest as combat with a sword/mace mainhand every single time I did it, and often relying on a group with other rogues to get it done as early as possible… Using a dagger and the right abilities it’s apparently pretty easy.

You have fun quests at 10 and around 20. There’s not much else until 50, where every class has a quest chain for ST and picks 1 of 3 items. For rogue, it’s a mask, cape, or boots. I’d most recommend the cape because its unique mod will always be useful.

When doing the lockpicking quest, don’t be in a hurry to leave. Keep opening boxes to get your skill as high as possible.
The poison quest at 20 is quite difficult. It’s recommended to wait until 22-24 before attempting it.

I didnt find this out till recently aswell. Was pretty cool.

You get to fight gamon on horde side orgrimmar.

Rogues actually get their own like club house area that a lot of people don’t even know about or ever discover… their poison quests are alright and lock picking takes you all over the place.

Also every class has a lvl 50 quest for Sunken temple, not what you were asking but it is something to look forward too.

I found the rogue quests to be some of the most fun in the game. I really felt like a rogue in vanilla. You had to learn the “trade” like you would in a “Rogues Guild” in other games. You had to practice and level up poisons and lock picking.

There are no downsides to playing a rogue in Classic. If the class calls to you then you are a rogue at heart.

pretty much every class has a quest that takes them into Sunken Cesspool … I mean Temple … ran that sooo many times in Classic to help people (and get green dragon scales)

people killed things other than the final guy at the top?

You have to, for the quest.

It’s pickpocket the guy on the ground floor under the tent.

You can skip the two patrol mobs outside.

Then kill the two mobs inside ground floor, two mobs next floor, two mobs third floor, and then the boss on the fourth. You actually need to kill everyone except the pats on the ground outside to complete, as well as obviously lock pick the chest and loot the bosses head
