I saw a post somewhere that I can’t find now claiming logs aren’t showing any extra hits from this.
I put 2 points into this done plenty of multi mob pulls haven’t seen the buff on my character yet.
is it working?

If your talking about the paladin talrnt reckoning, it does work. 2 points is only 40% chance for an extra hit and only when you get crit so it really wont happen that often until you get 5 points in it. Plus the big kicker is that reckoning doesnt show as a buff (at leaat from my memory). The only way to know if you have a reckoning stack is from redoubt, you just have to count the number of times it procs.
Reckoning does not currently work as it should. In vanilla you would be able to stack reckoning to 4 and then unleash all of those attacks at once. As it stands in classic, all it does is reset your swing timer. Its usefulness is significantly lowered as a result.
If you mean reckoning-bombing, nah, it doesn’t work.
no more reck bombs. paladins were too fun, cant allow that
I reckon.

It works. People misinterpret reck bombing as the way the talent works when that’s actually just a way to cheese it to get multiple extra swing by turning off your auto attack and not hitting anything til it stacks. The correct way the talent works it will never stack if you are hitting something while you are also being hit as all it does is give you an extra auto attack swing,
The paladin discord says it’s working just fine.
I can second this. Turn off your auto attack until your swing timer is about to reset to get extra attacks. Because the reckoning extra attack isn’t instantaneous, if you time it right the unleashing of the extra attack resets your swing timer again to give you a psuedo 3rd strike. Really though, reckoning is really only useful for solo pve or pvp. As a tank you are going to want a fast weapon and the /sit macro isn’t reliable enough for you to warrant the extra damage intake.
Also, 40% of a 5% crit chance is 2% or 1 in 50 attacks that are usually 2 second swing timers. So usually 1 extra swing every 100 seconds. Unless you bait it by /sit bait timing.
It works, I’ve done tons if reckoning bombs.
Just use the map.
Reckoning did not work this way in vanilla. I can’t say for sure if items with proc chances are affected the same way. I haven’t seen much testing with them yet.
Of course you don’t have auto attack on while building stacks. The issue is that all attacks should be applied instantly when you do finally allow an auto attack, and that is not happening currently.
It has been reported several times, however Blizzard hasn’t acknowledged it yet. But hunters feign death to trap and priests power word shield are still unacknowledged as well.
Reckoning, the talent, works exactly as the description indicates. It does not let you trick the game into giving you a bunch of extra attacks at the beginning of a fight by sitting down and letting a level 1 enemy hit you a few times before starting the real fight.
Similarly, Feign Death removes all a hunter’s threat and makes enemies ignore the hunter, but it does not instantly remove the hunter from combat and cannot be used to set a trap when you’re not intended to be able to set a trap.
So not at all as these things were in actual vanilla wow.
this isn’t what I wanted it todo, the way its being described (above) sounds to me like if I have a 2.5 speed weapon and I get crit at 2.4 seconds into the swing timer, It forces an auto attack and the next auto swing gets pushed back 2.5 seconds later effectively losing a swing ?
idk it confused me as it if it was working properly or not
/sit is a grey area, however reckoning in vanilla let you build up to 4 instant auto attacks to use on whatever unfortunate person you chose to use it on. And, feign death definitely removed you from combat so that you could drop a trap of your choice as a hunter. Noticed you skipped over the priest power word shield just straight up ignoring crits.
It works, also reckbombs work aswell. You just can’t be attacking. So store your reck stacks, run INTO melee range (very important to do that first) then right click the target or press attack.
You can not run at a target with auto attack active and have it store your reck charges
