I did a raid last night and it was awful.
My gear is way better than my first run but my parses were way worse.
I did something wrong.
Which abilties dont reset it?
Im using Quick Strike, Raging Blow, and Overpower. Do any of these reset the timer?
Theres a lot of times I saw the swing timer freeze when it’s filled up. It just stays full as if my character is frozen or something and he doesnt do anything for a second or two. Then it finally resets.
Oh my god no wonder my damage was so awful.
I must have reset it a hundred times.
All those wild strikes cries
Quick Strike, Raging Blow and Overpower do not reset the timer. I too have noticed that sometimes my auto attack swing just doesn’t go off. It just hangs there for 1-2 seconds, seemingly for no reason. Pretty annoying, but it’s also pretty rare. I only see it once or twice per BFD.

I am confused now.
My gear went from a score around 250 all the way to 318 and yet my damage dropped by like 40%.
I dont get it lol.
I haven’t noticed QS doing this myself, but who knows. I think more testing would need to be done, haven’t seen a mention of this on Fight Club.
Have you tried another swing timer? It is also possible that when a boss or mob is adjusted slightly they can also be moved outside of your hitbox which would delay the swing until you were close enough.
It would be easier to tell if we had some logs to look at, idk if you can share links here but maybe the FC discord will have information that helps

Oh no, he’s gear score user. He’s too far gone, we have to put him down.

Quick Strike will not reset your swing timer, but Wild Strikes procs will, and it’s fairly often that Quick Strike will proc Wild Strikes. This shouldn’t be leading to a DPS loss though, so I don’t really know what’s going on.
What id the fight club discord?
I cant find it.
I found one that is empty and no posts.
Oh ya I also had the darkmoon bufff AND battledrum buff on my second run, along with way better gear.
Im so confused how my damage plummetted
the fight club discord requires 2-FA and to sign up your roles etc, take a moment to read through the introduction stuff. That discord is full of turbo nerds who will roast you if you haven’t checked pins/instructions etc before asking
in your first run, the priest used his sunder demons for every boss, in the 2nd run, the priest had PoM on the entire instance
You were hitting a boss with an extra 1000 armor
That would do it. I’d recommend either you ask your priest if they are willing to switch to Homunculi for boss fights, or apply sunders yourself if you have to.
I’m not sure if sundering is a personal DPS loss or gain, but the other physical DPS in your raid will (read: should) certainly thank you for it.
