Does it shift you to another plane of existence when all of the hard work and effort you pour into the game flourishes fruits upon which you reap what was sown?
Well…I mean, it’s nice to rez, buff, hunt down, and 3-shot a level 56 who team-tagged me with buddies when I was OOM now that my gear is getting solid.
Is that what you mean?
Cause yeah, that felt really good.
Chasing him and his friends to the gates of the Bulwark and screaming obscenities at them until they gathered a literal raid group to get rid of me–that was pretty godlike. So yes, OP. Yes, it does.
make me feel like a god? No.
Gives me a sense of accomplishment and investment that retail hasn’t given me for years? Yes.
Shadow priest feels exactly same at 40 and at 60. Oom in three casts, everything dies in pvp, no juicy crits.
It’s rewarding but not a god. It makes you feel more human.
Sometimes. I was mounted and heading to sm for a full clear. Decided to take the alterac route. Got near the yetis after leaving Southshore. Some skull hunter got a lucky concussive proc on me and then 4 or 5 players decided to tag me. One mage spit on me after I was dead.
I ressed, put up tracking, found that mage (11 levels under me lol) and corpse camped the life out of him. The funny part was he was legit trying. Which was respectable, but it was all in vein. Nothing could stop my onslaught on his little emoting body.
I mean, like, it’s fun and stuff. So basically, yes.
Yes. Classic WoW is the easiest iteration of WoW. With simply investing time, you can get gear that makes your skill pretty irrelevant.
It makes me feel like I’m growing in power. I feel like I hit hills and valleys of noticeable power. An example was that around 18ish I was starting to feel pretty weak. Now, I am level 31, have the ww axe and zerker, and am critting 400+ on mobs.
It feels like Odin descended from Asgard with a weapon crafted from the ancient dwarven smiths, told me I am worthy, and sent me on a quest to eliminate all who oppose the Alliance in glorious combat.
So yes.
Ray, when someone asks you if you’re a god…you say YES!
Makes me feel like a late twenties goober that’s wasting his existence putting time and effort into something that will neither get me laid nor paid and has absolutely no use to anyone in life but myself… I LOVE IT I AM GAWD.
Hard to feel like a god when I get killed by giant spiders.
No but I sure feel accomplished when I get over various hurdles. And if I am able to solo more challenging content, even better. Also, there are already enough streamers who are “literal gods” through self proclamation in this game and they often look foolish saying it.
No, I feel like I accomplished things though. Just getting my fishing High enough for Theramore Isle for me was great! Classic doesn’t drop tons of great gear either, so you have to use the same weapon for ever…
Getting a new weapon is joyess
Should have rolled Dwarf, Stoneform ftw
Definitely rewarding, retail is so freaking easy I can’t stand it. It feels more like a bad roller coaster than a game and not even close to an MMO imho.
In classic you actually have to work at it and be social. The social part is where I think a lot of the retail WoW players are having trouble.
No Classic lacks blood elves
No, I just feel like when I play Classic my decisions matter, I’m ENGAGED with my character’s progression … in retail, not so much.
