Does no one play enhancement?

Does no one play enhancement? Been looking for a decent enhancement shaman for my mythic prg group and can’t seem to find any. Raider io has under geared players or people who posted 75 weeks ago and are gone. Is windfury not a thing anymore?

I play enhance but the problem with enhance right now is that there are so many better options for a spec to play this season. Enhance is decent in raid, but in m+ we’re bottom of the barrel right now. Our damage profile doesn’t let us be competitive in the massive pull fest of keys rn and we’re being out dps’d in our own target cap.

Couple that with no increased melee range and only one on use defensive, we’re talkin about a class that does less damage than any other lust class, has no immunity, and has to sacrifice a lot of damage to self heal. I love enhance, been maining it for most of DF, all of Shadowlands, and most of BFA, but it’s time to hang it up and let the devs know “your top enhancement shaman are quitting, it’s time to make some changes”.

Sad to hear that. :frowning:

Barely anyone is doing enhance in M+ because it’s so bad. It does ok in raids, but it’s complete garbage in M+.

Just the unfortunate state of the spec with no hope in sight.

I only play elemental (or restoration if I’m doing heroic dungeons). I’m just not good at melee.

You have to put in an excessive amount of effort to put out what other classes do with minimal effort in M+. Raids it all right but this season is also a meme.

I came back to the game and bought the enhance item for bullions MH and upgraded it to max 12/12. I have nothing but regrets not going ele. Next week I can correct that mistake atleast.

Enhance is in a truly terrible spot.

Target cap alone pretty well takes them out of M+ equation. VDH’s are OP and always pull big, why in god’s name would you want an enhance shaman for this.

Probably the squishiest melee in the game alongside SV hunter, but atleast they have an immunity.

Utility is totally redundant, it’s CC / dispel based for the most part. There’s zero use for any more CC with VDH existing, and dispels are pretty well a non-issue with Spriest/Aug being hard meta.

So you’re left with a melee that’s insanely squishy, does low DPS, brings non-useful utility and is hard capped at 6 targets.

Outlaw is target capped too but enhance’s damage isn’t even in the same stratosphere as Outlaw, on top of not having 1/10th of the tankiness rogue has.

All too true and ironically like your name, I made a destro lock and easily coasted to 2k io. And I have the most brain dead OP M+ rotation in the game.

Enhance needs to be reworked to be smoother, or be overtuned to justify the absolute difficulty and squishiness it currently is at to do mediocre damage.

VDHs are just better DPS for M+ than enhance and they are a tank.

If all you know is shaman i can only imagine what a breath of fresh air Warlock is.

Lol you’re not even wrong. Would it be too much to ask for Blizzard to atleast bump up the target cap? Outlaw rogue atleast has 8 targets it can hit.

I do, but had mine on the shelf for a while now lol.

The AoE target cap is a huge turn off as someone who is primarily a m+ enjoyer, my unholy DK, warlock and S.Priest can turn up insane numbers, meanwhile my enhance shaman has to work extra hard to get wayyy less AoE damage lol

Also, I’ve loved the elementalist build ever since it was a thing but… its basically been the same for the entire expansion. Got tired of elemental wolves, I wanna see more battlemage stuff. More interactions with weapon imbuements/strikes, etc

Which is why some totemic stuff has potential, even though I dislike the idea thoroughly… theres potential for fun with AoE searing totem, fire nova… Or a particularly interesting Physical build.

Shaman has always been my fave class fantasy alongside DK but the obvious neglect for shamans is a bit of a turn off

I only play enhancement… I don’t however do mythic, too much pressure to play builds I don’t enjoy. I do occasionally raid with my guild(s), but that’s more us having fun/socializing then me being into raiding specifically. I’m also not interested in dungeons beyond the story elements, so followers will be my thing.

Sadly, the released notes for the TWW S1 set have the four-piece bonus being a duration buff to the wolves…

Beyond that note though, I agree totemic fits into my play style quit well so far, I’m having only mild adaption pains to work the new maintenance cycle Enhancement combat generally feels like.
