Does my pc temp sound okay? Or is it too high?

Cpu temp Min - 51 celcius, max-71 celcius
Gpu temp Min - 50 celcius, max-73 celcius

During gameplay

Those maximums are a bit high by “optimal cooling” standards but most CPUs and GPUs are able to go into the mid-to-high 90C before they have problems.

Should be fine. Just generally means your fans are gonna be running faster/making more noise.

That sounds a little high, but not catastrophic. I run a lot of fans to try to keep mine in the 60s.

My fans do go kinda crazy during wow sometimes :frowning:

That’s normal for most automatic thermal controls. My temps are generally around 60C for my CPU and 58-60C for my GPU while playing WoW with Youtube running on a secondary monitor. But if I’m playing something graphics intensive I’ve seen mid-to-high 70C numbers with my fans threatening to fly away with my computer based on the noise.

Honestly, I wouldn’t worry about it unless you start seeing numbers in the mid-to-high 80C range. You should be fine.

How would one go about helping reduce the temp? Buy more fans? My pc case seems to only have room for one fan though.

Thank you :).

make sure you blow out the case and fans every few months, make sure none of the cables block the air flow of the fans both into the fan and out. See if you can get a bigger fan.

My case has really good air flow my gpu does not get above 60c even at 100% usage and my cpu rarely gets into the 60c range also at 100%. I used to run folding at home 24/7 so I made sure I had good cooling.

Cool. Do you mind sharing what case you use? Do you use multiple fans?

You need to inspect the CPU and see if theres any dust. Use those air spray cans or you might need thermal paste if its not dust. Dont touch it if you arent grounded of course. And certainly not while the power is on or plugged in.

My pc is only 3 weeks old, just had it built. Oddly, my previous mini tower’s fans never went crazy but my current mid tower one does sometimes during wow.

When my laptop gets to hot I just put on a fan, sit it on the table (or next to it) and point it at my laptop, mostly the keyboard to cool it down. Sure my hands get cold but thats what fingerless gloves are made for, lol

They’re good for load temps, don’t worry.

Is it weird that my older mini tower never had fans go crazy, but my new mid tower has some of the fans go faster sometimes during wow? They’re both ryzen builds, just different case sizes.

Different motherboards?
Maybe the new one has a more aggressive fan curve in the UEFI

Plug in a small air conditioning unit and push it against the fan intake on your computer.

Hmmmmmm, I see. Okay well if my temps are fine then I won’t worry about it. Thank you

I have a liquid cooled system so I hardly hear anything.

Not sure if you are joking, but don’t ever do this. Static electricity is a real thing. Great way to fry your system.

If you are going to run an actual AC as a cooling system, do it several feet away from the internal workings of the computer.

Also, to the OP - your GPU temps are absolutely fine. I wouldn’t consider them hot. GD doesn’t know what they are talking about in most cases, and this is a prime example lol. Many GPUs run into the 90c range and can work up to 100c without causing damage. Running 50-70 is actually a perfectly safe healthy temp.

I had one of those old gtx 470’s running at 90-95c for 6 years or something and it still works to this day.
