Does "KSM" achievement not mean much now?

So last week finally got Keystone Master achievement and tbh, I was actually really proud of myself. However, when I told my friends who are hardcore m+ players, they told me if you didn’t get it the first week of the season then it doesn’t mean much. Is this actually true??

No, that’s cray. Grats on KSM!

If it can be boosted then most people who downplay accomplishments will think it is nothing.

Achievements are always personal. If you’re an hyper competitive player looking at leaderboards, of course its not.

But if you just play at your own pace and went through meaningful effort for it, its worth a lot.

The couple really outstanding players i know always compare themselves to their closest competition, they don’t care to put down others.

It’s still going to be a rare achievement, but this season made it way easier. You can get it with half your keys not being timed.

your friends are kind of jerks.

congrats on your ksm!

Can you buy ksm with tokens? Then yeah not really a big thing anymore when you can p2w and get it. Grats if you got it legit though

Every accomplishment, in game and in life, is relative to the person.

For some people finishing a 5K is an accomplishment and for others that would not be an accomplishment.

Enjoy your accomplishments and ignore your friends being kinda jerks about it.

it means something when you get it in the first couple weeks but now the majority of people seems to be over 240 ilvl so no it’s not really impressive anymore.

They’re full of it. You needed something like +26 to be able to get it first week.

I’m not even sure it was possible to get the first week of this season to be honest. Might be time to find new friends.

It’s definitely not possible to get KSM on week 1

This is all that matters

No, there’s always people like that, don’t pay any attention to them, someone is always going to move the goal posts on you, if you’re happy you got it then that’s all that matters.

Also, grats

If it doesn’t mean much after the first week, it didn’t matter to begin with.

Tbh that’s kinda effed up to say to someone lol. Grats man. Should be proud of things you earn in game 100% especially if it’s a big sea to you

Its fine KSM is like this now. Its like the pvp season mount that it is easier to obtain now than before. If you want the hardcore m+ goal is the fos to complete all +20s. If you want the hardcore pvp achiev you got Gladiator.

It means to you whatever value you assign to it. If you feel proud of your achievement, then you’re free to continue to feel proud of it.

That said, it isn’t going to mean anything to anyone else. If you didn’t get it the second week of M+ then it doesn’t really stand for much to anyone else.

:+1:

20s are going to be the big goal to strive for. It isn’t as far away as it seems though. The new empowered conduit system is going to help nerf the content and there are still domination sockets to upgrade if you raid. You’ll also be able to more consistently upgrade conduits via death-bound shards with the changes Blizzard made. 20s are hardcore but still attainable via semi-PUGs.

According to hardcore m+ players, it’s more like the beginning. But, to everyone else who does keys even moderately ought to consider it a heavy achievement. It’s become devalued as people pay for carries, but anyone I see with ksm I still treat with reverence for knowing their class.

All that matters is you’re proud of yourself and their accomplishment.

I’m working towards it myself right now, and even if it easier to get this season, it’s still a goal that requires work and dedication to achieve (this week was the first week since the season began that I didn’t run 10 or more Mythic+'s), so it’s not exactly something you can just cruise through without paying for it

And just think, even though it is easier to get, that doesn’t mean suddenly everyone will be getting it this season.
