There’s a bunch of different invasions you can do. But does it matter which one for the mounts that drop from the baggies at the end?

Been ages since i farmed these ones, but i think it does matter which invasion you do because specific mounts are tied to specific invasions (if I’m remembering correctly that is).
Hmmm. The comments on wowhead seem to indicate it doesn’t matter. It only matters if you’re trying to get the boss summon drops. But it isn’t clear on there either.
Maybe the folks over on the mount collecting thread could help with some up to date info?

As someone who has farmed these mounts a couple of months ago, no, it doesn’t matter which invasion you do. The drops are identical.
Some invasions are just easier to get Platinum on. I spammed Shadow Council invasions, because it’s apparently one of the easiest ones.

Ok thanks! I’ve been doing the magnorok ones since they’re the fastest to do on horde side.
Ahhh, see this is probably why i can recall farming for specific invasions, it was my friend and i doing them two man, so the ease of one over the other would have been a factor for us, thanks for the current info, it’s always good to hear from someone that has tackled something recently.

This is the correct answer.
When you complete an invasion, you get a “reward bag.” You don’t get a mount, or a chance at a mount … you get a “reward bag.”
WHICH invasion you do doesn’t matter. You get a “reward bag.”
You then open the “reward bag” … for a chance at one of four mounts.
That’s why it doesn’t matter which one you do-- they all reward the same thing: the “reward bag.” Your chance at the mount comes after you open that item. 
I’ve only managed to acquire one of them so far. But I’ve been farming on and off for years. Never seriously though. Gonna finally focus them down now that the current patch is dead.
I totally just winged an Iron Horde invasion and got a silver. Going to put more thought into it next week. Any idea what the easiest invasions are for plat?
Like I mentioned before, on horde side, easiest and fastest is magnorok. I get platinum super easy everytime.

1> There’s an option somewhere in the mix to “add patrols” to your Garrison. It helps if you want to try and solo the event.
2> That said… you can 1-shot entire packs of mobs, does it still take an effort to solo Plat???
3> The loot in “personal loot”, so there’s no reason NOT to list your Invasion in the group finder. There is almost always 1-2 people willing to run it, because the mounts are such a pita to get.
There are 4 of them, the drop rate is low, and the game will happily give you one you already have. So getting all 4 is a soul-crushing experience.
