Demo warlock asking for a friend
Should be stacking stam tbh
I mean, I’ve honestly never checked to see if it does personally but… int is our best stat right now by a pretty significant margin, to the point where ilvl often trumps optimal secondary stat weights, and since Demo does like 90% of its damage via demons… I would say yes, yes it does.
Edit: Half ignore the above guy saying stam, that just comes with ilvl anyway. He’s right health stacking is really good with Demonic Consumption, but actually specifically stacking health via things like pvp trinkets is situational (int is better for cleave / aoe for example), and stam elixirs aren’t worth it as they don’t give enough to Consumption to justify losing the Int elixir that buffs, well, your entire kit.
Really, health stacking is great for single target boss fights like Sludgefist, but it’s not the end all be all of Demo
Yes, let me explain how.
Imps Felfirebolt are based on your spell power, who is based on your intellect, they are specifically 4.6% spell power per bolt.
Dreadstalkers, Felguard and Vilefiend auto attacks (as well as all other physical damage from pets) are based on a conversion of Spell Power to Attack Power, the conversion varies between pet to pet.
Demon fire, the spell from Demonic Tyrant is also based on spell power, and scales with intellect, nonetheless, that is only for the base damage of the spell, the bonus damage given by Demonic Consumption is based on Pet HP drained who is then converted in damage, pet hp is based on your own HP who is based on stamina.
Don’t think of Int as some kind of D&D stat. Int is effectively “raw damage”. Unless you’re auto-attacking as a Warlock, all of your damage increases based on Int.

I never stated that you don’t use an int flask.

The stam stack is still viable in aoe like sun king.

I may not be as fluent in demo as I am Aff or Destro but Tyrant is still your main source of damage.
Wasn’t trying to argue against you or anything, was just preventing misinformation about health stacking. It is the biggest single target dps increase, but not the best for, say, M+ or something. Just saying “you should be stacking stam” without context might get people into bad habits like using stam flasks and thinking health stacking is the end all be all way to go about it when in truth it’s really only good for going for legendary parses on raid bosses and a regular int build isnt that far behind while also being better for M+ and the like.
