Have it talented on my Demonology warlock because the guides told me to, but honestly it seems to do very little if anything. Should I stick with it or replace it with another talent?
I personally don’t use it. Your best bet is to look at the method builds and make your own off of there. It explains most of the talents.
It’s awful but Summon Jailer is pretty bad too, so at least you dont have to think about it.
It does good damage if it procs at a good time. The issue is because its proc based, it could proc and then spend 80% of its spawn time with nothing to attack.

Inquisitor’s Gaze does passive damage randomly. It’s basically set and forget.
If you can find a talent that’s better for your spec use that, otherwise, it’s better than nothing.

Let me tell you what it does…
You forget to change that talent before you delve into achievement hunting. And that thing one-shots the boss that you need. And you wait for the next week.

If there was anything worth taking then yeah you’d replace it, but since it’s in the class tree there really isn’t. I seem to recall Kalamazi saying “it’s bad damage but the other options are no damage so might as well take it.”
It’s incredibly random, I believe it’s the lowest internal RNG of any class ability or talent in the game actually at the moment.
Thing is, it’s always worth to take it since it can chain proc back to back to back. So, if you go look at some WarcraftLogs parses for examples, you’ll see it completely carries the parse. The damage is actually quite good, but you can get zero procs in one fight and then get 8 procs the next.
It’s actually quite a big issue from what I’ve heard for parsers (and I’ve noticed for assessing personal performance) since it’s so random that it can throw your % around all over the place, despite essentially playing identically to a person that was getting good procs.
Hopefully…War Within changes it…since we’re completely forgotten this expansion in terms of reworks for our trees.
I don’t pick any of the 3 capstones in the class tree. All of them are trash in my opinion.
