As a healer, they are the tank who give me the most trouble to heal , everytime i saw one in my group i know they will be one shotted or something around +9 or 10 keys , i guess some of them don’t take their cooldown the right way
You are having a good time healing brews and BDKs ?
Only guardian Druid , other tank no problem at all
They’re either playing wrong or using a damage focused build. I feel invincible outside of a few caster pulls when I play guardian.
They must not be playing Druid right because I pull 3 packs in 10s right now and can survive a very good amount of time without a healer.
Guardian Druid is in a good spot. Whoever playing that one isn’t doing it right.
Bear is fine defensively, imo it needs a dmg buff. I think the cap on Thorns of Iron dmg should be raised to 6-7 stacks of ironfur from 4 because the dmg is kinda negligible in AOE.
My only real struggle as guardian is threat. I can reduce a ton of damage as Chosen of Elune, but the damage over time aspect isn’t great for snapping threat, especially with the GO GO GO mindset of today’s WoW players.
Unlike other tanks, If a Guardian Druid walks into a pack without any defensive or ironfur stacks, they can get oneshot quite often.
Id say its because the average bear player is terrible at playing bear.
Overall i 100% agree have had much more problems with the meta tanks then i have with the nonmeta ones.
Just fotm players sucking at playing meta as per usual.
Uhhhh, it’s decent. In terms of like how good it is overall it’s like
Prot Paladin > Prot Warrior > Bear/VDH > BDK > Brew
For the first two they’re good at mitigating and you can usually heal them even if they’re bad in lower keys, like 10-11 area. Their health just goes down slower but they have less sustain.
The latter 4 are very skill based and one mishap by the player and they die in one global. You can’t really carry them or usually even heal them as a healer. They just fall over in the blink of an eye and that’s not really your problem. Which, is one of the things Blizzard said they didn’t want happening… They wanted healers to be able to heal you and have time to react when you’re weak. But Blizzard says a lot of things then never carries them through.
I mean, this happens with Warriors and Paladins too. And this is just a gap in a defensive running.
The biggest difference between Bear and the shield users is that their active mitigations are running at 100% for their entire duration from the second theyre activated.
Shield Block and SoTR, 100% use out of the gate. Iron Fur? Gotta build up 2-3 stacks to have the same effect. Then i have to generate enough Rage to maintain those stacks.
As a Moonbear that isnt hard. But playing DoTC you have to decide between Raze/IF (smart play is to only use Raze on free procs).
well, blizzard buffed the stamina values for all, which would have fixed this issue, but then they super buffed incoming dmg, which made the stamina buff moot. Ever wonder how we got from 250k hp to millions of hps within 1 expansion?
Yes, when the key is high enough. A lot of people pass off higher keys as irrelevant but what they do is highlight the shortcomings of specs. You just don’t notice them in lower key levels, but it doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be fixed.
If you get globaled and can’t be carried by your healer in a 13 or 14 as a Prot Warrior, but that happens to a bear in a +10. It means the baseline defensiveness of the Bear is lacking.
Can still happen to Prots in a 10. This is a player skill issue and not a base defensive issue.
I just went over all of that and as to why
