Its a video game its a distraction from life. If the passive is equal dps to the active then its ur choice on how to play. Active doesnt need to yeild better results for people to choose if they find pressing the active button better then a passive its just about control.
If ur playing pvp many players perfer actice abilities to ensure their kill. If the passive did the same dps it wouldnt change that.
Why have abilities at all? Why not just move our characters around? Better yet, lets just watch our toons move around! We donât need to press anything!
The idea that a 3 button rotation should net the same result as a 7 button rotation is absurd. Iâm guessing you think equality of outcome is more important regardless of input? Harder things usually have a brtter outcome. Thatâs why surgeons make more money than a fry cook at McDonaldâs.
Ok mr hyperbolic calm down this is a video game form not some political statement on pay raises.
We are talking about a 6 button rotation compared to a 7. It really doesnt matter if its the same dps. Paladins have a theee button rotation and end up doing better dps then some shamans anyways.
Again its a video game who cares. Stop being dramatic
Enhance has a build that has a low number of buttons in the standard rotation. If people want a spec that only has a 3-4 buttons for the main rotation, it is there.
However, enhancements best preforming spec has comparatively a lot of abilities and interactions. When you put all those together, you should get a better result then spamming SS and just dumping msw on 1 spender.
Things have diff CDs, some have reset procs, some haste effects the CDs, some abilities synergize with others to make em stronger. Then thereâs when you have gotten enough resources, that dont generate at a set rate, to spend. They donât line up on a rotation that you just memorize. Certain things take priority over the other when available and according to the situation
Iâm absolutely fine with more passive alternatives. But if the passive, easier to play version of those abilities all perform just as well as the active, more difficult version, then it becomes hard to justify playing the harder version where youâre almost guaranteed to do less dps than the easy version due to human error.
If there is no advantage to playing the harder version, then doing so feels like holding our teammates back by playing a simply weaker version of the spec.
Yes they do and itâs super fun, but also, can be quite frustrating to monitor all of the many spells of enhance without using a plethora of weak auras. That being said thereâs quite a bit of changes coming on 11.0.5 that looks like it may ease some of that. Either way if your looking for the easier way to play enhance is go with the slightly less dps version of stormbringer spec and not elementalist.
I donât doubt we will still have a bloated spec but it does look like ice strike becoming a proc version of frost shock and the changes to flame shock having different proc versions seems pretty nice. The feral spirits being passive is also another bonus. I personally like the complete hectic version of 176 buttons to slam to be kind of fun. They are also doing some changes to totemic, which honestly still wonât make it worth playing but I could be wrong. Either way when blizzard focuses on the class you love playing and make changes in an effort to make it better, its exciting.
I would maybe like passive feral spirits if maelstrom generation didnât suffer along side taking that option. I feel like flowing spirits shouldnât be a choice with witch doctors bones, or maybe the maelstrom generation increase should be separated from the CDR on bones and placed somewhere else.
