I read this somewhere recently an anyone confirm or deny this?
Any direct shadow damage consumes it.

that’s what i thought just wanted to make sure. Thanks a bunch
False. Dot ticks don’t. Only single instances of abilities that can crit will.
Deathbringer can crit and should consume a stack of ISB.
The term you’re looking for is “direct damage.”
ISB works on doom and it’s technically a dot, not direct damage.
Doom is not a dot.
Doom is a DOT. It just lasts one minute and ticks once.

Doom is technically a dot but it can crit while other dots can’t. Doom is literally a unique spell that falls under neither category of dot or direct damage.
Doom is not a dot, it does not deal periodic damage. It is a debuff, or a bomb.
