Does clearing cache, WTF folder impact addon settings?

I’ve read some conflicting info, or maybe I just misunderstood what I read. But if I clear my WTF folder it won’t erase all of my addon setting, profiles, positioning etc?

Yes it will.

It will.
Typically those are the folders you actually want to save and copy over into fresh-installs, to preserve all your settings.

If you navigate through the WTF folder you’ll actually see folders for your realms and then characters. E.g. I’d find a Area-52/Ixenn folder. That has all of my character binds, addon settings, UI changes, etc.

Yes. WTF folder holds addon info like location of your bars ect.

ALWAYS backup your wtf folder.

its an absolute pain to have to reset every micro setting.

yep. going to need to do a fresh windows install soon, that’s one of the things I’m being sure to back up.
