Does blizzard plan on accepting Crypto as payments?

if they do decide to obviously bitcoin , probably eth but honestly for transactions solana is a solid choice regardless of price it can handle 50,000 transactions per second and 0.00025 gas fees basically zero. even if you could make a better one the world will never need it. visa only processes about 2k tps and it costs more to move the money around or secure it. or maybe blizz makes its own layer one to base metaverse plays on.

You know…

One dollar should get me 10k gold.

Let us buy 1k gold for ten cents.

Get real money nerd.

They should accept Ethereum, because it exists due to World of Warcraft. Vitalik invented it due to Warlocks getting nerfed.

They should accept copper ore.

do not give them ideas. They would probably start using NFTs of some form then people trade those around for gold.

If people could buy gold in amounts lower than 20 dollars, I think a lot more people would buy gold and Blizzard could make insane profits.

Like if they had fractured tokens. Like 1/4 1/2 that kind of thing I can see that.

Blizzard’s reputation is bruised enough without getting on the destroy the environment train.

Take shiba inu (I’m totally not invested in shiba inu, no totally not).

I’ll pass on digital currency crypto scam.

If they did I would rather not. I’m just fine with using my means of paying and not getting involved in crypto. I feel there are plenty of options for payment without adding that to it as well.

It’s interesting to say the least especially as the metaverse grows. Many companies are getting in on it. Blizz is it’s own universe upon itself. Could easily have it’s own digital property world with warcraft land diablo land ect… but the players can all see eachothers avatars ect… Blizz would have a big advantage starting that being the largest gaming company already. Blockchain is not going anywhere anytime soon. Mite as well see what can be done. 92% of global currency is already digital and comes with big fees to move it. but it extends well beyond currency usage.

Yes, what better financial decision could there be than to support a currency whose market value could bottom out at any moment?

The ups and downs are certainly swinging right now. but you can use stablecoins if that’s a concern. I certainly would not turn a blind eye to it. Why would any company not add more payment options though. Letting people pay with bitcoin does not stop you from paying with dollars it just adds an option. You kind of already can since Paypal allows people to use btc for payment for any purchase.

The whole cryptocurrency model has been perverted in every possible way now.

It has to evolve like anything else. Modern internet looks nothing like it did originally. We definitely need more digitalization heading in to the space age. Not like you can hand someone physical change in space lol It’s all personal feels. Dollars will always be a payment option forever but they may at some be a USDC style and less physical for trackable reasons. It’s very difficult to trace paper hand to hand and never mind the legality of buying illegal stuff, the marketing data tracking every movement of funds no matter how small is valuable. They can sell you better stuff if they know what you like.

I hate it.
