You saying it never happened in classic? Cuz it has been around since the launch of WoW.
Since I’m about to head to work, I’m going to just link someone elses topic (Who even talks about what they have seen in classic. I too drew this conclusion back in the days of vanilla as well). If more is required by the time I get home, I will pull up some good ol’ classic quest dialog for ya.
