When you do the time for reputation please make rep across the whole account for every toon created in the future and existing.
so stupid to not.
thanks.

Please don’t do this, some people actually treat their characters like separate characters.
Thanks.
Agreed. Still, it would be a nice if they would include an account-bound reputation token in every goodie box players get from having the reputation at exalted.
What they should do is continue the MoP practice of unlocking bonus reputation for the account once you’ve finished it on one character. That makes sense within the lore (I know a guy) and doesn’t remove character agency. It never should have been abandoned, frankly.
I do not want to take away from ppl’s desire of what they want for their toons. An option would be nice once you’ve done the “work”.
I’m the person who had to do pathfinders in original form 2 times. And I mean all tree of them. I had to grind couple reps outside of that two times for two different accounts and I can tell you that this suggestion is brilliant idea.
I’ve known ppl from your guild! What a small word lol. They wouldn’t give me the time of day though, idk why I didn’t even show my full potential.
Imagine having fun grinding the exact same rep for no gain lmfaooo
give account wide reps NOW blizzard
Why not make it opt-in? Look at Shadowlands. If you selected Threads of Fate, all the characters treat you in end game the same as those who played the story line. From a lore standpoint that does NOT make sense. You’re a stranger to them that just showed up and helped lead gorms into a pen from time to time, not the fabled Maw Walker. Based on this logic Threads of Fate should have never happened and every character should have to play every quest, every time. Opt-in system gives both sides what they want.
I’m out for this, just wanted to put it in the universe. I personally think it so stupid to not. give us an option.
It’s one of my biggest gripes.
I just want to buy the stuff on vendors without having to redo the rep on another character because the first character isn’t able to equip the weapon/armor I want for transmog.
When they do that then you will complain that there’s nothing to do in the game. Next thing you know, you want all of your characters to automatically have the same item level as your highest.
Right, this is the inevitable outcome, and I’m at a loss for why people would want that.
You think you do, but you don’t.
Blizzard is not ignoring this topic. There were a couple Dragonflight conversations with Ion over reputations this launch, and they were somewhat vague. But the general gist was that they are ok with reputations being shared, but need some aspects of quests and gifting to represent the work put in by an individual character. At least generally, people should go do their own research if my explanation falls short. Of course this generates questions on “how should it work?”
Nobody should be naive enough to think that “just let everyone opt into alt reputations carrying over fully” is good for the game.
It’s definitely not good for the game we are in agreement on that.
I’m pretty sure they have some intern keeping track of what is being discussed on the forums. That way they are ready to understand what players were quitting over when some mass wave of unsubs happens, which is always accompanied by forum outrage.
That way they can schedule a bandaid fix in a year or two.
My issue is the old reps. I’m hated with some toons and loved with some toons with booty bay.
I don’t want all my characters to go to hated or friendly with them.
I like this idea. I like doing the paragon boxes so that feels like a win.
I like this idea too.
here my take on account wide rep, i am all for it, but i know some people are not just because, so why not set a coin vendor, if you are exalted with a faction, you can go get that coin for your alts, or you can just go grind it out. Makes sense and most will be happy, some not, because wow players like other games i play, the players hate new stuff , and the old stuff, so any ways LOL. that’s it and be safe out there.
Account wide in other games does not take away the ability to grind that rep on a separate character, so they could do it like that. You can still grind it on another character, but others that don’t treat their characters as individual, but working together don’t have to keep grinding it.
They do read this place, otherwise they would not be able to respond to people here occasionally.
Yeah, the only account-wide reps I would support are the newer ones (maybe starting with Legion). Those are pretty straightforward where you aren’t getting hated with one faction for siding with another one. The old reps have lore behind them (e.g. Aldor vs Scryer) and having them suddenly all flattened out would break lots of things.
And I say it as someone who has just grinded out all of Steamwheedle Cartel AND Bloodsail to exalted (after screwing up the Booty Bay questline and going from 0 hated to revered, then dropping back to 14300 hated and grinding back to exalted…don’t ask).
