Having trouble remembering what it was like back then, maybe it’s because we all progressed slower and people didn’t know what they needed them for until they had a stock pile of Idols.
Currently Idol of Death is listed on our AH for 4250g (I don’t think it will sell for this but speaks to its rarity). In general our guild can’t keep up with Idols and I wanted to hear some other experiences to see if we’re in the minority. We haven’t received a single Idol of Death and we have a backlog T2.5 gear only being held up by Idols.
How’s it going for you? Is this consistent with ‘back-in-the-day’?
it’s not that idol of death is more rare, it’s just more in demand than the other idols.

Absolutely, I was just pointing to that price point as an example. In general though we are lacking Idols and wanted to know how other guilds experience was going.
Farm AQ40 trash for a couple hours for keys, mounts, and random idols. If your guild doesn’t kill twin emps then there are chests that respawn every 30 mins you can open.
My guild farmed trash for a bunch of keys, found a raid ID that cleared up to twin emps and kept opening any chests that respawned every 30 mins.
I think it speaks more of supply and demand. There are a lot more competitive warriors now.
We have a few weapons and a player with their full set already. We run alt raids and reserve them though.
We need about 10 idol of the suns we don’t have. It just depends on what your caches drop.
Try organizing a trash farm on an alt or something.
I wouldn’t say the idols are rare exactly but it’s quite common to not have enough for all the gear you’re getting.
AQ just released, of course you don’t have everything you need. Eventually they will sell for a few gold or less.

Just continue playing. Eventually you will have enough and it will be fine. That’s how it is, you start any process and see the end goal, if it’s not fast or immediate, seems something is wrong, but that’s exactly how it’s suppose to be. Take ur time, you’ll enjoy it more.
