Does anyone remember how no flying was conveyed to us?

Guilds and friend lists emptied out, just not as fast as they did in BfA.

Yeah, it was. Sometimes the truth is more amusing than a humorous joke.

If you think this is suffering, you live a very sheltered life.

The belief that one cannot suffer because someone else is suffering even substantially more is one of ignorance and a desire to patronize an individual. Everyone’s suffering is their own, your attempt to dismiss it as small and worthless is just as petty.

Seriously, how is pathfinder making your suffer? It is a god damn video game, if it is causing you to “suffer” any kind of distress you should be quit and seek help.

It is, correct. So why is the forum of this video game upsetting you so greatly that you have to keep repeating

over and over?

Because suffering implies something you are forced to endure. There is nothing that you are forced to endure in a video game. If you dislike something, unsub and move on to a game that doesn’t cause you to “suffer”.

Honestly, this has taken up enough time.

I’m not suffering. I just unlocked flight on four characters for free so I am happy

So… you’re here complaining about the OP creating a thread that you don’t like, I’d suggest you take your own advice. If you feel that it is spam, then do your thing and report it, then go ahead and

No reason to get angry.

Eh. That’s if people weren’t watching the ball. Very early on they had an interview with a dev (forget who) who felt that it would be a challenge to create content that was so appealing and engaging that flying would not be missed. That’s what I remember.

Anyone who didn’t put that together with the company’s stance of “we wish we could take back flying” and get “we’re going to push no flying this expac”… well.

Now I do believe that internally it was divided, and that it could be true that it was a heated battle at the table, hence the lagging announcement - but most people are content to think the worst of everyone, so collusion is the general sentiment. :man_shrugging:

I let it go. The same weekend.
It is what it is.

Or posting a single tweet on friday night about Karabor not being a quest hub for WoD.

Anything to legally say “we told you!” but also to hide the facts.

That’s one reason they use alternate modes of media instead of posting the details here. You know, on the very site that is supposed to be the defacto source of all news related to World of Warcraft.

It’s all about controlling the flow of information. Especially if that information is unpleasant news.

more like it got mauled by a chainsaw after all if it wasn’t a big deal they NEVER would’ve back peddled so quickly in fact if you look up the date they did announce flight coming back it just so happens to be the same one that Square announces flight coming to final fantasy

squaresoft smelled blood in the water and they went on the offensive

I personally prefer Pathfinder to buying flight with gold for each and every character only once they reach max level. All my 110’s + are flying in BfA right now.

HOWEVER

That doesn’t change the fact that they outright lied to the WoW community when, for months, they told us we would be getting flight in WoD. Then they did a sleazy try-to-slip-it-under-the-door maneuver by announcing no flight in WoD or any future expansion on a holiday weekend through a third party site.

THAT’S what we need to never forget. Blizzard’s word cannot be trusted.

well what did you expect from a lawyer? I mean he was counting on as few people as possible seeing it then if we protested after the fact he could merely say but we gave you advance info about it not our fault you didn’t bother to read the story

but it blew up in their faces once word of the story got out it spread like a wildfire

Like shooting yourself in the foot, or in this case, cackling like a mad scientist while you slice your foot off very slowly with a chainsaw. I’m pretty sure that countless players who quit over that stunt still didn’t come back out of principle.

If you think wow is actually in a good place you must be new to the game.

When I say suffering I mean the game’s quality has noticeably declined since WoD. I don’t mean literal suffering…

at this point im almost convinced that the watcher would sooner see WoW crash and burn rather than accept the fact that his vision is wrong his ego is too great that he wont even entertain the possibility of making a mistake

don’t get me wrong ghostcrawler had his moments too but he wasn’t so inflexible that he wouldn’t admit error quite the contrary no matter how busy his schedule he still would actually find the time to occasionally make appearances on the forums and converse with players

when is the last time watcher did that other than the pre screened cherry picking softball comments during the Q&As?

Read my previous post.
Suffering is a subjective matter. If you were to follow your creed you would not complain because it does not cause you any harm when the OP complains.

So much whining.

This is why I like to think back to that Zero Punctuation of Daikatana. There’s really a frightening amount of parallels between that game’s lead designer and our own Ion and we’ve seen the result of those parallels in the devs’ vision post-MoP.
