I’m out doing PVP battlegrounds so I can start doing arenas, I mainly play alliance but about 90% of the time, the team is trash. Either the players don’t know what they are doing or something is going on causing the game to be completely unbalanced.
Is there any real PVP players anymore? I’m just now getting back and like to PVP again but its hard to get real players to play the game, even when I’m in a really populated server.
Today has been a crappy day on Alliance side epics. I’m capped on Horde side but need 2 wins to cap my Alliance.
Was in a WG where we won SR and the pugs started pushing towers – but ignored Horde doing the one-wall Main door trick from the other side. Didn’t matter how many times I called out “defend or this is over in 2 minutes” – some guy kept saying to ignore it and push towers. It was over in 2 minutes.
Was in an AV where they wanted to rush boss, but I was tank and made them take towers. Horde still hadn’t pulled at 2 towers so we burned 3 towers and pulled. Easy peasy. Except a Monk went in and stood there full healing the boss. I was tanking and kept saying “kill the monk”. Pugs ignored the monk and beat on the 100% health boss with the monk just standing right there in the middle of them.
There’s nothing you can do, it’s very frustrating. That’s why premades exist. I’m about to just go back to premades myself.
Epics are a mixed bag but I feel like Alliance have no issue winning regular random BGs most of the time. Might be dependent on the time you play, though.
I have had the opposite experience . I capped my Ally shaman with CQ already . I still haven’t on Horde. Yesterday was a rough night, so many strong ally teams in the night
Last week I capped Alliance first and Horde was rough. This week it’s opposite, for me at least. Don’t remember what time I played last week. I was trying to quit the game forever but failing at it.
Not to sound like i’m one-upping you… but i feel like i did this for YEARS… Alliance communities are just so nice to have now. They aren’t perfect - no communities are, but it’s nice to play with people who want to try and work together. Same for the ones on horde side.
I do not want rated epic BGs because they would then start to be filled with min-maxers who want only certain classes/spec/gear/everything. It would start to spill over into random epic BGs.
The beauty of casual epic BGs is EVERYONE is welcome regardless of all of the above. Most times - except for when the heaviest min-max premades queue - either team has an equal chance to win depending on their overall team spirit and understanding of strategy.
