Does anyone play a race just for its animations?

I feel this way with darkspear troll and pandaren.

Their weapon animations are just gorgeous and their casting animations really stand out.

Zandalari also have really nice polearm animations.

There are a few class/race options I play for, like Gnome Hunter, Goblin Mage, and Troll Shaman. Pandaren Warrior animations are one of my favorite.

I actually hate NE casting animations and luckily don’t have to see them as a boomie.

Female nelf casting animations are great though, wish males wasnt so bland.

I play belf female for the character. I like the old animation but the new is still fairly good.

I love trying out many xmogs to see what fits great with her. Plate armor is a blast!

I just wish there was more customization for the character and xmogs available.

Male blood elves have pretty fine animations. I tried to play a female blood elf, but I honestly think they look like they’re starving to death.

Female Void Elf animations are amazing for Death Knight. I was planning on swapping back to Dark Iron Dwarf, but I can’t imagine doing that while they have that stupid frost strike animation.

Not really. I play Tauren and Undead and I dislike playing pretty races such as Blood Elves, so I think it’s safe to say that vanity is not a major factor in my choice of races.

I do want to make you aware of the fact that although your race animations may look attractive to you, don’t assume that other players notice how your character looks. Most of the time I don’t even notice how other characters look in the game so if you choose a certain look, you should do so because you like it not because you think other people will like it. Because I can almost guarantee you that 99.9% of other players are not even going to notice your animations.

The Night Elf female animations are nice and all but it’s how she looks in armour and the fangs that won me over :grin:

I also like my Female Orc Arms Warrior animations, especially when she does executes and mortal strikes.

There are definitely race and class combos I won’t play due to animations.

All kidding aside (not really kidding about the /waggle), I think the little stomp Female Enhance Shaman do and the little shout they do is just freaking adorable :heart:

That and the funny faces we make when we are dancing. :heart_eyes:

I used to play human males for melee for their special animation + sound when getting an auto-attack crit, but I don’t think those are in the game ever since melee animations got copypasted across races.

I don’t usually see my characters while I am playing them, which I assume has something to do with my characters being gnomes.

Elves look good in any armor, and their combat animations are superb.
