I miss people asking for advice against comps and various strats or other misc questions but literally every single post is only about shuffle and how the mmr is annoying or other random shuffle bs.
Does anyone actually push anymore in like, the normal arena? Aside from the multi glads.
I do play it in EU but LFG is a horrible experience for DPS unless you have friends who can commit to playing .
LFG is filled with 3500 experienced players who are somehow stuck at 1800 and below. Then add the fact that even though you have a 10 game winning streak the moment you lose some unhinged player goes off the deep end insulting everyone before they leave
As a healer it’s you getting pinged by everyone on your pvp friends list to help them go back up in rating that they somehow lost that they had gained when you were last with them.
Having said that you can’t compare how much more fun rated 3s is when you do play with close friends hell you might even become close by playing together
I do blame Blizzard for creating this environment by not having an actual solo queue to rated 3s instead of the rat league game mode they made up
Solo Shuffle is the nearest I’ll ever get to Tinder dating. You anonymously shack up with someone and are instantly disappointed or misled. Then ridiculed or degraded.
I mostly try to 2s. It’s like Eharmony for me. Safer, slower and not nearly as dangerous.
actually i just stopped to play since blizzard no longer care about PvP the lack of tuning in 3 week is laughable so i lost my patience and i play other game that devs care about they player
now i just wait the subs finish then maybe i will play next expac
Jdeez and I are queueing double dps 2s and working on 3s.
It’s like an annual tradition that I make a post looking for healers for 3s that dies pretty much instantly.
I made a post asking for suggestions on ret that got 1 response from a certain shaman…
Bubblebuddy gave us some good advice on ret/ww. Nelphys been queueing some 3s with us and it’s been awesome to do more than double dps 2s to rival where it kind of dies especially in this expansion.
People flock to complaint and troll threads, and rarely to anything else.
I’ll keep trying to post and ask for help and people to queue with, but I’ve legit been posting for healers / partners since bfa and I think I’ve gotten a total of 3? people in that time. One of which is the main person I run with since then.
i played 2s last night 0 cr just to see who would queue w me and got a few healers to play. was nice. i might stop shuffling tbh and try 3s ladder again
I don’t play shuffle at all. But I only pvp on wotlk rn so I’m hesitant to ask questions / for advise on here as the few times I have it’s a dead thread with nobody knowing anything about that meta.
I pvp on wotlk quite often when I’m online. Ik with it being in the “Cata waiting room phase” and all it feels a bit dead, but I’m usually looking for queues or something to do there as well.
I found LFG 3S much easier than SS this season. Being able to control comp made getting to 1800 a joke. Having a mage to help deal with double/triple melee is a God send.
That being said its my first season playing lock in Arenas and I am not good but shuffle just seems absolutely dominated by melees where im at. (Which is ping ponging between 1750 and 1650) very unfun to get double fistweaver Ret Arms DH lobbies.
I just play for fun now and help people get their first gladiators, but i usually bounce btwn 2.4 and 2.7 mmr if you have questions!
I actually battled you the other day playing boomy/fury war/hpal (would not recommend that comp XD)
This right here honestly. I would love to hit glad one day but I think a good portion of the people that are grinding out their first glad are kind of checking it off their bucket list and checking out of arena. The ones that push glad every season view it as attainable if you put in the effort but it really doesn’t feel that way if you don’t have buckets of spare time. I actually btagged a guy this season who is trying to get his first glad achievement and he has played around 2k games this season and is currently sitting 2370ish with 2 of his wins. He’ll probably get glad cuz he’s spending the insane amount of time needed but I doubt he’ll be looking to do that grind again any time soon. Same thing last season where I found some guys to play with but they were queueing like 5-6 hours a day the last two weeks or so while I was offline and ended up getting it without me after we had a bad session in the final week cuz they didn’t feel there was enough time to pull it back with our team.
If 3s had other reasons to queue with exclusive rewards to that bracket all the way from top to bottom of the ladder (as well as incentives around 2250 and above gladiator) I think it’d be more active. As it is, if you don’t think you can get glad (or you don’t have hours upon hours to grind it out) you can accomplish all the same things by playing shuffle or 2s which are both easier to get into. None of this is to say people can’t queue arena just for the fun of it and the only reason anybody queues is for rewards. But if I can queue what I perceive as the same game mode (shuffle) without the barrier to entry that is networking in 3s, it’s highly unlikely that people will not just opt to play shuffle instead.
I played like 50 games last night from lfg and the vast majority were brutal. A ret asked me what bop was, an rsham didnt know you could dispel poly/hoj etc. Not like he didnt see it, he legitimately didnt know. Even after explaining these things nothing got better.
I finally just broke down and explained that he just needs to use his abilities as he died with astral/earthen/link all off cd.
If im going to play with people that use 25% of their kit, ill choose solo shuffle, at least it doesnt come with the inherent guilt of leaving your partner.
