I am trying to do the Delegation quest and need to count the number of times the spider boss does Smoldering Devastation (third time trying this part of the quest) but I cannot find a page or video that actually pinpoints what it looks like.
Smoldering Devastation is the cast she makes when she runs out of energy while on the web (So phase 1). She does it 3 times then she comes down (phase 2). So after you get the shards from the big spiders. You need to go up to the web, place it down. You can get to the web by killing the dangling spiders and clicking on the webs they leave behind. When she casts Smoldering, you get knocked off the web and have to wait to get back up. When I did this quest on my disc priest, it was bugged as she was losing energy way faster than she was meant to. Regardless if I got to the platform or not.
Can’t remember how I got passed it. I think I had to die (somehow) and I kept the shards from the adds for the next attempt.
Note that if you push her below 30%? in phase 1, she comes down and starts phase 2. She never goes back to the web in phase 2

What specifically does it look like? A flaming ball? An explosion of fire? A purple something?
This is where I am at now but I need to know what Smoldering Devastation looks like so as soon as it happens I know to grab the crystal.
I am not even touching her and she keeps going into phase 2 and I can’t get up into the web.
I hate stupid quests like this.

Got it but there is definitely something wrong with the fight.
I only killed two of the spiders on a rope to get up on the web, never touched her at all and she still went into phase 2 within 3 minutes of my entering the arena.
