Does Anyone Find The Constant Criticism Tiring?

This right here. I stopped playing for a few months and came back, now I feel happy with the game again.

I don’t think BFA is better than Legion, but it’s nothing more than some personal biases. I don’t think taking away my magic sword killed the game like people said it did (that being said, give me back my sword, please).

Well, I think the trouble with this is that Ion hasn’t come up with a refutation, a resolve, or an explanation for most of the complaints and made it available for everyone to see. And also, there isn’t any reprimand for people acting out in this game.

A sh$*%y person can kick me from a group just to be douche, some immature person can fire off a bunch of mean things that aren’t true without any repercussions. I mean, Blizzard said a while ago that they won’t take action against people who complain because they know that it’s natural for people to complain. Yeah, it’s bad, but the problems still remain. If greater pyro blast nerfed yet? What about chaos bolt? Lightning lasso? … it’s terrible what the devs are allowing, and we complain; but there’s no resolve…

I think you mean Sir Tom

Nope, they’re the ones with 400 ilvl because TF RNGesus loves to bless those who don’t aspire above LFR /feelsbad

I’d say that he’s addressed Azerite pretty thoroughly lately for not being able to say much about its systems.

Otherwise, I agree.

For whatever ups and downs this game has had in other areas, the art and music have always literally been spot on.

I did play the endgame content, it was pretty much the same as endgame legion, worldquests and timegated events. Legion burnt me out on that stuff, along with the artifact grind. I actually migrated here because I got tired of harping on the new stuff and I’m hoping Classic will reignite my overall desire to play.

I have two characters in Boralus, one capped, and one stuck at 111 because Drustvar is so badly written. I remember why I skipped it on my Shadow Priest. I feel like I’m in a child’s fairy tale, maybe that’s what they were going for but we don’t literally want to have to compare WoW to Disney, do we? The other zones are equally uninspiring and convoluted to get through. Mob density and scaling are a major pain. I could go on.

I bought some gear which suggests I’m planning to cap this character (and try to power gear him over the scaling hump), but once classic hits it’ll just be another alt to try out the latest catchup mechanisms from time to time, I figure I’ll oscillate between the two at worst, spend more time in classic at best, particularly if it runs superior on my machine

I’ll see no reason to go back to dying in raids because my graphics card hates windowed mode and forced shadows and all the other crap that’s driven up the specs of retail but I’m hoping won’t be part of the 7.3.X client. For as long as I’ve been playing this game on this comp and doing well at it for several years, I better be able to play the old more basic version of it fairly well.

If not perhaps an upgrade is in order, maybe if I sell my worthless console.

I’ll agree that Stormsong Valley’s 2nd half and a decent amount of Tiragarde Sound feel a bit uninspired, but I think Drustvar’s writing is brilliant. It’s a bit dark to be comparable to a child’s fairy tale. It’s fantasy, which is what WoW is all about.

Of course, to each their own in terms of preference.

That is GD for you if you’re not hating on Blizzard and BFA then you are doing it wrong and will get insulted and flamed.

As stated BFA is far from perfect but so is over rated Wrath it wasn’t as great as some think it was had its flaws as well.

I typically ignore the BFA haters because I am still playing and having fun. :wolf::zap:

Okay I guess I should have specified a GERMAN child’s fairy tale, their’s are every bit as gruesome and then some.

This statement is made false by the fact that, through constant feedback/complaints/whining/anger/whatever you want to call it these very systems have been forced to change. 8.2 drastically overhauls the Azerite system, both Demonology and Shamans were forced to be massively reworked in the middle of recent expansions as well.

Its not that people dont think some things are good, its that the bad things are bad and discussion CAN have an impact on getting them fixed.

Oh, I don’t disagree. I just think a lot of times there’s several topics that are like beating a dead horse.

If thats what it takes to see actual change then the horse needs to be beat. I would more put it on the devs for lack of communication to work it out which leaves the forums no other recourse but to repeat themselves, thinking they are unheard.

When are they fixing Shadow Priest? I paid for not only a paid boost but ground my butt off for a void elf specifically to make it that spec, only to feel hosed by the world, especially compared to other players, even wearing all dungeon blues.

It wouldn’t be a problem if there was a separate forum for player feedback.

But what I’m saying is that in some cases, the horse doesn’t need to be beaten, and as a result, it gets tedious and unnecessary.

Another factor is that people are unwilling to take a look at objective viewpoints. They say the same things over and over again without acknowledging the other side. Even if there’s nothing worth mentioning, it’s good to take a deep look, which nobody does these days.

Remember that a lot of the complaints are from first time posters who legit haven’t been watching the forums all that much so they may not realize they’re beating a dead horse.

Feels like the horse needs to be beaten to get across to devs on the things that we don’t like.

When I’m the one being criticized, yes.

When I’m the one doing the criticizing, eventually yes and initially no.

Well, the forums have been advertised as the place to submit feedback. Most of said feedback will be about the the things people don’t like. If you see a new thread that is a copy of a recent topic already up then report it as spam. Mods used to encourage posters to keep their discussion to one thread and it is in the CoC/guidelines that people shouldn’t post repeat topics.

With that said… you could provide links to the interviews and highlight the important points that you think are addressed. Just put a ` before and after said link I believe if you can’t post links. Also, if you see a thread that has a topic that was addressed in the interviews then feel free to post a reply and help spread that information.

Last thoughts: you can mute threads that you don’t want cluttering up your list of topics (so if the negativity is getting to you then you can send some of it away). It’s a cumbersome system, but it’s really effective for those threads that are big and continuously popping up or for threads you know will take off. Or you can take a break from the forums as well.
