Does Anyone Find The Constant Criticism Tiring?

You know what would be even easier than trying to get hundreds or thousands of complete strangers to do what you want? Not reading the threads. The titles are almost always a giveaway on the content.

Those islands make me cranky. I do them in burst periodically and then grumble about the waste of time. Sure I get lots of that stuff for the necklace, but I just want the dragon because it looks like the one that the Stormheim people refuse to give me as well.

See that’s the thing, what makes this game better is playing with friends and sadly many of my friends have quit. My main guild from cata that I joined went on hiatus till things get better.

If you got friends to hang out with, the game becomes a little more enjoyable. That s how I got through WoD when everyone was tslking bad about it. Still doesn’t change the fact that there were many problems with WoD or BfA for this matter, but friends do help get through the rough times in WoW.

If the total suck level of BFA ever subsides greatly, so will the complaints.

8.2 is Buzzturd’s chance to redeem themselves.
We shall see very soon if they do or not.

Why should customers who paid good money for a product that was sloppily put together and low quality and minimal effort be quiet about it?
And 8.2 is not going to fix the main issues with the game, its band aid on a traumatic wound. Thats all .

The one big reason so many are unhappy is ALL OF THESE ISSUES were brought up in Alpha and Beta and Blizzard said to go pound sand that its fine .

they always say ‘amazing things’ - trouble is when we get it, they aren’t so amazing.

People will complain till they fix the game and 8.2 is not out yet. People will believe what they see not what they hear anymore.

the entire forum in a nutshell:

The game is dying.
There’s no content.
I’m bored.
It’s a slap in the face.
The thing needs to be buffed.
The thing needs to be nurfed.
x class is op.
Gear is too hard to get.
Gear is too easy to get.
Bring back the “limited time” thing.
Let us mog everything.
People are toxic.
LFR needs to go.
The devs don’t even play their own game.
War happened in warmode.
I shouldn’t be forced to do the thing to get the reward.
I got kicked from a group.
Meany McMeano skinned/mined/herbed a mob i killed
Something something time played metrics.

I’ve been on the WoW forums (in their various incarnations) since BC.
The criticisms, the crying, the whining, the chicken little doom and gloom sky is falling/WoW will be killed by XYZ, calls for nerfs, calls for buffs, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc… Have always been there. Even if you look on some of the archived Vanilla forum pages, it was there, even then.

The ones that make me lol the most are always the ones like LOTR is the new WoW killer game!!1111eleventy

Then dont read it…

Over any other community, the WoW community is one that never picks its battles correctly at all. I don’t blame Ion for looking at stats rather than this amalgamation of stress we call a “forum”. Sure, people post things worthy of reading. It’s just a lot more people post things that aren’t.

For the things that are actually negative about the game, it really is much of the community’s fault for diluting things worth criticizing. Think about it. If you were a blizzard employee, and more people were complaining about something that didn’t matter more than something that did, what can you really do?

Even if this is my least favorite expansion so far, I’m still finding things to enjoy about it. I understand the desire to criticize frequently for sure, but I also agree that it gets old to see so much negativity here.

This is the natural consequence of allowing people without an active sub to post the forums. The game has issues, yeah, but these people aren’t helping.

Honestly, the best suggestion I can make is to ignore their threads. Eventually after a couple of weeks of 3 to 4 reply threads, they’ll give up. They’ve already proven their attention spans are short by wailing about not seeing end of expansion progression 7 months into the current expansion.

It seems at some point during every single expansion, someone will start up a thread about NewSoAwesomeGame, and then other threads start popping up about it, and then newbie forum goers will jump on the bandwagon and start chanting about WoW “dying” because of AwesomeGame. Aaannnnddddddd then, AwesomeGame dies a quiet, lonely death, and nothing is ever heard again about it.

Every. Single. Expansion. :rofl::rofl:

I’m tired of it because most of what they’re saying is contradictory or not true.

“lol blizzard is greedy and they sold out so I’m going to go play ESO and FF even though their stores are 100x bigger than blizzards XD”
“Activision is ruining the game.”
“ActiBlizzard is going to sell lootboxes.”
“Allied races were just put in to get dat money/MAU… nm the fact you can get allied races in under month and you’re rewarded for not spending money with heritage armor!”
“I’m quitting because allied races can only be obtained by playing 20 hours a day.”
“Removal of tier is ruining the game.”
“Vote kick is ruining the game.”
“My mom is ruining the game.”

I’ve never said to people “just leave” because in the past they have had valid complaints. However, the complaints lately are killing my brain cells and I really wish they would just leave.
