Does anyone feel kinda sad Gallywix is not a faction leader anymore?

I am definitely with you that from a lore perspective, Gazlowe is definitely a better leader. But I’d argue Gallywix is more of a fun leader from a player perspective. Reasons why:

  1. Unique model.

  2. His antics are amusing. He is a corrupt, money hungry trade prince that its pretty much the embodiment of goblin society.

  3. So many of his voice lines are quite amusing.

You can see them here. One of my favorites is:“No time like the present… to get rich!”

Your thoughts?

I’m gonna miss his voice acting. Darin De Paul is such a treasure. To the point where his little humming in the post legion cutscene was so funny they kept it in the cutscene as Darin was just warming up and getting into character.

Here we got Gazlowe / Turalyon at the start. Jaina is next to him.

Darin is the older gent in the other row. With Sam Riegel ( I’m unsure if he does anything in WoW ) next to him.

They can be such dorks and its great.

One of my fav moments was them versus opening a door

I’m not sad at all. Gallywix and the rest of the money and power hungry Goblins are detestable. Also, I’d love for Gallywix’s “pleasure palace” to be destroyed.

The Goblin’s tendency to commit themselves to evil schemes for the highest bidder makes me not like them.

I guess I missed a memo. Where did Gallywix go? I admit I won’t miss the character overall… Very little to do with the goblins has been something I’ve enjoyed.

I like Gallywix. I think he truly rode the “morally grey” faction leader line. I think Gazlowe is kinda generic.

he should never have been their leader in the first place in my opinion.
I know the horde is inclusive but come on. After all the stuff he did during the goblin starting zone? No way he should have been given any rank within the horde.

He burnt a lot of paper work then bolted before Sylv got triggered and left the horde

Oh, I really did miss a memo then. I assume this didn’t happen in game, or has it just not happened yet?

It was in game you had to be on the loyalist side to see it

Oh, got it. Well, my character I picked to stay loyalist got screwed up when I accidentally talked to an NPC at the wrong time in Nazjatar… So much for “permanent” decisions. :expressionless: I wasn’t going to try dragging another alt through to see it.

Tbh I don’t know why he was a faction leader to begin with. I would’ve thought all the Goblins he enslaved would’ve taken all his money and left him alone on that island they landed on.

Thrall gave him back his leadership position at the end of the starting zone. It’s been ten years and people are still unsure why.

Who killed Gallywix?

What makes it even more baffling is, iirc, at that time Thrall wasn’t even Warchief, he gave it to Garrosh. He didn’t have the authority.

Also, Thrall was a former slave who nearly cut his former master in half with a sword what the hell is he doing forgiving a slaver?

I love Gazlowe so I find it hard to miss Gallywix. And I didn’t like Gallywix, so there’s that too.
