I am definitely with you that from a lore perspective, Gazlowe is definitely a better leader. But I’d argue Gallywix is more of a fun leader from a player perspective. Reasons why:
Unique model.
His antics are amusing. He is a corrupt, money hungry trade prince that its pretty much the embodiment of goblin society.
So many of his voice lines are quite amusing.
You can see them here. One of my favorites is:“No time like the present… to get rich!”
I’m gonna miss his voice acting. Darin De Paul is such a treasure. To the point where his little humming in the post legion cutscene was so funny they kept it in the cutscene as Darin was just warming up and getting into character.
Here we got Gazlowe / Turalyon at the start. Jaina is next to him.
Darin is the older gent in the other row. With Sam Riegel ( I’m unsure if he does anything in WoW ) next to him.
I’m not sad at all. Gallywix and the rest of the money and power hungry Goblins are detestable. Also, I’d love for Gallywix’s “pleasure palace” to be destroyed.
The Goblin’s tendency to commit themselves to evil schemes for the highest bidder makes me not like them.
I guess I missed a memo. Where did Gallywix go? I admit I won’t miss the character overall… Very little to do with the goblins has been something I’ve enjoyed.
he should never have been their leader in the first place in my opinion.
I know the horde is inclusive but come on. After all the stuff he did during the goblin starting zone? No way he should have been given any rank within the horde.
Oh, got it. Well, my character I picked to stay loyalist got screwed up when I accidentally talked to an NPC at the wrong time in Nazjatar… So much for “permanent” decisions. I wasn’t going to try dragging another alt through to see it.
Tbh I don’t know why he was a faction leader to begin with. I would’ve thought all the Goblins he enslaved would’ve taken all his money and left him alone on that island they landed on.
