I seriously haven’t even thought about wanting flying. The different forms of transportation, the immersive content, warmode, and instanced content that can be queued from anywhere make it where I really don’t even need flying anymore.

Since everything is accessible, Is it really a burden not to have flying these days?
I don’t find it burdensome, although I will enjoy and take advantage of it once it is available.
This statement is basically the yin and yang of the whole issue.
I farm herbs for about 30 minutes before every raid night and come away with maybe 20 pots. I cannot imagine how much faster it would be with flying and I think of it every time I do it. I could probably double my pots if I could avoid all the pointless faceroll combat with mobs constantly interrupting my gathering as I ignore them and spam click on the herb in my sky golem…

Honestly? I think about it every…single…day. Without trying to be disdainful or mean-spirited, I’m going to point out that your belief that flying is unwanted or unneeded is only a personal opinion…one that, for varied reasons, is not shared by a good many others.
I’ve experienced the content and explored the zones on more than one character now. There is no reason to make me, and others that feel the same, to wait any longer…and there is no reason for those that don’t want flying to tell me I shouldn’t have it. If you don’t want to fly…then don’t.
This is why I want flying. There’s nothing immersive about Alt+Tab while you wait on auto-flight to finish - half the time forgetting you were even playing and coming back to the login screen.
Having explored parts of Zandalar, yes, getting around is not fun. Working on a horde toon, I have quickly developed a HATRED toward dazar’alor. It is just not a fun city to navigate.

The game is so much better with flying and being gated from it for months for asinine reasons is insulting.
It is less a burden not having it and more just monumentally stupid and annoying.
I am much less annoyed by a lack of flying this expansion. In the last couple they went out of their way to make it difficult for you to navigate from point A to point B. You gotta find the one secret hiddin path up the hill around the trees over there and then circle down through that one opening in the wall…
This expansion there is a lot less of that garbage so I don’t get so annoyed.

It’s not that I feel the need to fly - I don’t feel compelled to do content out in the world now that I’m almost entirely done with it, and like you said there’s many different ways to deal with the sheer amount of distance between things. Blizz has done a lot to cut down travel between questing zones, and there isn’t a lot of empty space on the new zones.
However, I do think about how awesome zones would look if I could just see them from a bird’s eye view.

I shouldn’t have responded, but I felt that more dedicated hordies would agree with me about Dazar’alor. Boralus is so much nicer in comparison about the amenities.
You guys have my sympathies in regards to your capital city this expansion. Really, you do.
I think about flying every time the Honorbound vendor says “It is a day for flying.”
I use a random mount addon called Collect Me. When I hit the button, I get a mount appropriate to the area I’m at. I fly where I can but I don’t think about it much. I still get to wherever I’m going.
Ground mount exploration is how it needs to be done. Very perilous running through enemy towns and over glaciers with yetis and other mobs looking for that tiny last piece of dirt with a name. True explorer.
I think about it all the time and how annoyed that we can’t fly yet.
