Does anyone even buy these extremely overpriced World BoE blues?

Not talking about ones like feet of the lynx which goes for like 10-20g.

Stuff like Thunderbrow ring for example, like 6 of them on Crusader Strike AH for 250g each minimum.

1 Mantle of Thieves for 777g

With the raid there are alternatives that are barely worse, in fact Bristlebark amice for example is like 8g and is better than mantle.

Yeah, not that overpriced. But definitely when it’s like 200-300g, They definitely do.

I’ve had troll’s bane leggings on my auctionator shopping list for awhile on my hunter just in case it ever dropped in price (guessing that’s not happening).

Whenever it gets around 200g they start going quick it seems. I saw them as high as 300g the other day. I’ve seen other hunter’s with them on too.

First week of SOD I did all the quests at max level for gold and ended up getting a humberts helm in the neutral ah for about 80g. And at the time that was a lot of gold, but I figured it would be awhile before I got a helmet in the raid. (I’ve never gotten a helmet in the raid yet.) So it was a worthwhile investment.

But there’s no way I’m paying 200g+ for +5 agility versus leggings of the fang.

I’m more surprised the prices aren’t lower given how many bots there are.

We all know who are buying the 250g rings…

Phase 1 will likely be over in a few weeks and those overpriced items will tank in value. Of course, if you are a credit card warrior, that doesn’t matter because you will just RMT the next overpriced items at lvl 40.

The other day I saw a wool cloth for almost 1000 gold coins!

People are insane!

Noone is buying them at those prices except for the sellers themselves on another account or people with bought gold. +1/+2/+3 of an extra stat is meaningless when there’s no difficult endgame content out and a new phase is starting soon. I saw a lvl 26 chest piece for around 250g, and it’s like, why? Once the level cap is 40 you will use it for a few levels and replace it lmao.

Yes, gold buyers.

Gold buyers buy all of these overpriced BOEs, they also buy all the inflated price mats for things like rune quests and profession maxing / crafts.
The AH is full of things that are only accessible to gold buyers.

Not that these forums will mention it…they are too busy blaming GDKP for RMT existing…

mantle is BIS this phase…not pre bis…BIS(on par with raid shoulders but still slightly better). It is also extremely low drop in an instance with level 30 mobs which makes it VERY rare. The price reflects that. I don’t know who told you bristlebark is better but they are terrible at wow and probably math in general.

bristle is bis for ferals iirc, although why anyone would buy mantle even if it was going for 200g is beyond me, the raid has something similar which you get for free pretty easily or for like, 40g or less in a gdkp.

i don’t see why anyone would buy a lot of those world boes either, you can get 99 parses without them, and the phase is almost done. its must be credit card swipers only, even someone who farmed that much legit wouldn’t just blow it on a very short lived phase.

Had a guildie buy leather helmet Ring something. For nearly 50g yesterday and run the raid… got the raid drop lol. So yes people buy them. Min/Maxers will buy them. People that don’t like having an empty slot will buy them.

im not talking about 50g boes, im talking about the ones that are over 200g-800g range

who would buy those

the phase is almost done and SoD has added insanely powerful items

It does seem crazy but people do buy them.

I wish I’d find one of those… I could use the gold!
