Does anyone elses heart race during the AWC?

Blizzard has its hands tied, if they banned all the boosters, it would wipe out most of the top end pvp ladder lol.

theres an argument for those players too because the amount of time needed to get good at this game is A LOT. and they dont get paid enough.

Honestly I personally don’t think people care as much as the forums think about banning these players. Like I could care less.

Also the bigger picture would bring new players if the game is enjoyable to watch.

Have you watched wow arenas. It’s literally someone jumping in circles doing spirit fingers and shooting lave balls at people

Probsbly come up with 5 new maps scaled for 6v6, Id imagine.

well common practice is to take care of you current consumer base first before trying to attract new people. theres a lot of people who play arenas but dont watch the AWC. capture on those players.

Sports Ball is not rigged, you gotta be that good to play in the NFL. But in wow anyone can have high ratings if they have tha cash. People go to a casino knowing that the house always wins, but they still go because Vegas is fun. And there is a chance you might win a lil… Just like wow pvp, we play because its fun, but we all know the high end is rigged, ran by the R1 Gald mafia for foreign websites.

It would honestly be more exciting watching rat league nonsense.

I don’t want to see people pillaring and correctly using cds! I want to see some warrior leap behind a pillar and pop all his cds! Maybe he kills the healer, maybe he gets killed for being dumb!

I want insanity and unpredictability!

The vast majority of players are casuals. Sub 2k (pre rss); have fun playing, but don’t have the game knowledge to really excel.

Those players (like me and the other 90%+ of casual players) are not a good audience for awc. It’s not easy to watch, understand, or that interesting.

You’re not capturing the majority of arena players to watch with the current format.

It also devolves into meta and so many players play specs that don’t get seen at all in it.

I do agree on the fact that they HIGH end players dont get paid enough, they pour their life into this game and whats the 1st place prize? a ten dollar coupon for CiCis pizza? So I get it, this game is how they make a living so they gotta do what they gotta do…

thats why i said improve the UI. you improve the UI and you’ll improve your ability to see whats going on. what they have now is very very bad.

You are 100% correct, roll back the clock to the old street fighter / Mortal Kombat days, you played every class, knew all abilities, and were good fighting any player. The amount of time and knowledge to level, invest, play and know every class/spec in this game is mind boggling to a player just wanting to have fun. So I do respect the HIGH end players, they are good at wow, I never question that.

Reminds me of the winning speech from that hearthstone champ Firebat, was salty, he said he had to rise through endless waves of RMT cheaters.

Think about it, AWC championships, what kid no matter how good they are at wow, can join a team of kids that travel to all the tournaments, skipping school, and have parents to fund all of this? Its like a rich kids sport lol.

RSS should have a world championship, where normal players can have a chance to rise to the top, even the illusion of doing so might attract more players to pvp. But before they they gotta be more strict about players being able to be in the same match in discord as a team, its rampant and takes away the solo aspect.

I totally get what you’re saying, but I don’t think it’ll ever get the casual player base.

There are 6 players constantly doing something to try and win. That can’t be shown at once, nor is it possible to really explain it except for supa speed yelling everything as fast as he can.

It’s not possible to make the actual game slow enough to follow without massively reworking and removing abilities, which would suck gameplay wise.

It’s why it’s much easier to watch one streamer - you’re following one player and their cds, not 6.

It’s just not an intuitive thing for a casual player. Good players who know what’s going on can look for things, anticipate them, and watch and enjoy it.

The rest of us are just lost listening to some dude talk so fast I can’t understand anyway, while health bars fluctuate rapidly.

I was watching bicmex’s stream and I was watching a 2.9 destro warlock try to hard flame mehh (on priest) and tell him he was garbage at wow LMFAOO

I see some funny msgs in shuffle ngl

I had a 2k rogue when I was grinding my alt try to tell me I bought my rating when he didn’t like the strat I told him to get a free win in one of our rounds XD

Every few days I give him a nice lil check pvp to see that he’s still in the same cr bracket and it makes me smile

I get more excitement whenever I see a clip of someone reacting to an AWC match than watching them. Nothing against the casting, those guys are awesome at what they do but they don’t really go for the heart pounding rile up some announcers do

That’s some top tier pettiness

I have a structured settlement and I need cash now.
