Does anyone else still really hate SCALING?

I hate scaling...
I know at first there were a lot of people that were against it.
Now you dont hear that much about it. I cant stand it, and it
has really soured me on the game.

Anyone else still struggling to accept it?

** I want to add a bit more to this**

With the scaling I just feel like I am getting no where. The way it was the more you lvl'd.. the more you lvl'd your gear.. the stronger and more invincible you felt.. the faster you could clear content...it felt like you were accomplishing something. Now everything feels grindy to me because it is lacking that kick butt factor that USED to come with lvl'ing and gearing up.

I guess its just not fun anymore. :(

I like scaling. I like being able to stay in one zone and not lose out on xp because I am killing grey mobs. I like I can hop into a dungeon and not instantly outlevel the zone I was questing in and the zone next to it forcing me to travel two zones over to get back into questing.

I hate the xp changes that came with the scaling changes.

Those are two different things to me.

There are pretty substantial nerfs to the amount of exp needed per level on the PTR right now. Around 60 it hits a 40% reduction and stays above 20% through 110. 110-120 are pretty much unchanged. Would guess 1-120 will take 25% less time than before (or more) in 8.1.

I liked the fact that the higher lvl you got, the more powerful you became. Things got easier. Now you hit 120 and it gets harder. It makes no sense to me. To me it makes things drag out... you never get much of a sense of accomplishment.

I'm okay with the straight mob scaling. I'm really disgusted with any form of ilvl scaling. Once you get to 120, you should be splattering those mobs.

I hate it but it’s beating a dead horse.

I mainly hate it because my holy gear is really high ilvl and my ret weapon is only 350 and trinkets are all healer trinkets, so I have to kill mobs that scale to 390 in effectively 355 gear.

Lots of fun... all because they have no stat stick trinkets available and can’t get any ret ones since anything might titanforge and be an upgrade for my holy spec.

I sort of get level scaling, although I personally think it has more negatives than positives and players should get a toggle to disable it if they want.

Ilvl scaling is another story. Even though it doesn't have a profound effect on my play there is literally nothing good about it. 100% negative. It absolutely should not be in the game.

Needs some work but nope..dont hate it. Actually love it.
wish they would take it further and Make Azeroth Relevant Again.
*raises hand* Not a fan. I prefer the feeling of advancement that comes from out leveling a zone or having the option to level slower with green quests if I want. Even though it means fewer choices for where to level, I like that feeling of linear progression better than what we have now.

I don't mind it at max level, but I didn't want it in the old world. in some ways it's helped things like finishing a zone, but they could have adjusted the green/yellow/orange xp break points. I think it's made the sense of progression worse overall.

I'm ready for titanforging and scaling to go away.

I really liked titanforging when it was first introduced, and to this day it still prolongs content, but the cost is too high. Progress isn't progress when the goal posts can run almost as fast as you can.

i initially didn't like the idea, but i got over it.
I like scaling, and I like the exp nerf for levelling even more in 8.1

That's because all the people who said they would quit if they put it in did quit.

I would have preferred the ‘color’ quests adjusted. Maybe I am jaded but I remember Ion mentioning something about how Blizzard wanted more ‘turn a dial’ to adjust stuff. I kind of feel ‘scaling’ is just a cheaper alternative to actual development (hence I don’t like it)

I'm fine with it for dungeons and holiday bosses. The overworld is where I have issue with it, especially ilvl scaling that the dev team insists on using for current content.

Despise it!

Leveling scaling is a lot of fun and makes leveling a more fun, varied time. Ilvl scaling however is silly.

I'd love >>>OPTIONAL<<< scaling

But Blizzard isn't much one for player choice. It's all or nothing with them

It used to be fun to have to attain a certain level before you could visit a new zone. I can remember taking little exploratory peeks into new zones in Vanilla just to see a little of what was waiting for me when I got to a high enough level to actually quest there. Scaling kinda ruins that since I can go wherever I want and all the baddies will be my level.
