Because that’s me right now. I really dont care either way. I see both peoples perspective, and at the end of the day nothing blizz can do will ever stop people min maxing stuff. And I see people liking hard choices in their games. And I’m just over here like, i dont really care. Anyone else? I feel alone lol.
Nope. They can have the most bare bones system in existence and players will still google the top 1% and follow their lead. Im just doing me. Ima have fun as an awkward undead among the night fae =D
I plan on that too. Or my Dk in the most death armor possible just trolling along
I like having others be able to choose covenants. I have no intention of changing the one I pick, so it doesn’t feel like it will affect me.
My bigger quandary is trying to reconcile the intersection of ‘choice should matter,’ ‘the covenants only account for 5% increased damage,’ ‘we shouldn’t be optimal for all types of content’.
It’s more a logical conundrum than a worry about gameplay.
And…I hope I didn’t just hijack your peaceful thread of blissful indifference.
I will add my plus one.
but it’s been like this since Pandaria/Wod, hell even cata had its vitriol.I know cause I was pissy myself about some of the class changes.
Never fair light, I like you too much. And yeah I agree. I probably wont change, it’s too much effort and I’m a hardcore casual with work taking up most of my life. It’s just funny watching people have complete meltdowns over it.
They’re not hard choices though. You really think the Covenants are going to have some sort of really hard, heart breaking choice you’re gonna have to make that will impact you in some way? Nah it’s gonna be, You pick the Vampires you gain 30% more damage. You pick the Kyrian you will literally never play in any content past a +2.
I support covenant swapping even though I won’t be swapping mine (Night Fae club!) because it won’t change anything for me and it would make a lot of people happy.
I admittedly don’t care that much, but sometimes I’m bored and there aren’t enough of the more lighthearted threads to be cheery or sassy in.
You are very kind! Thank you for the nice words.
yeah, most of the people on the forums need a kick in the nards either way
Is this a light-hearted thread? I hope so, it sure feels comfy like one. Because every time I see your name I desperately hope you have a warlock alt name Blacksabetha
That’s a bit dramatic. Plus 10s is where I could see people start to be (Revendreth or no lulz) I just seriously doubt most of the playerbase will care.
I don’t know if this is a light-hearted thread but as a metal head I’m super disappointed in myself that I haven’t thought of that name yet for a character.
Of course, your my 2nd favorite poster
It’s just a really bad excuse for a terrible system. This meaningful choice is negated by 8 World quests. The lore doesn’t even make sense as to why you have to pick one Covenant when you learn all their abilities and help them while leveling. All this system does is gimp certain classes more than others and it’s annoying.
This is coming from one of the classes that isn’t gimped. I only have one choice for all content except for PVP which I don’t even care about. This is gonna suck for others who’s best tank Covenant is different than their DPS or healing Covenant. Or if you’re a mage where one covenant doesn’t even do anything for two of your specs.
This is they biggest issue with the covenants. They’re glorified talents tied together with aesthetics that also force you into 1 spec or role. Would’ve loved for it to just be lore, questing and cosmetics only so i could pick the covenant that i want to actually look like and help. Unfortunately i’ll be forced into 1 covenant to be competitive.
/mewatches and thoughtfully smiles, she’s taking Sabetha to her home
I just cant see it. Even after messing with the soulbinds, each soulbind is so wildly good and bad. and different it really should help negate this problem. I’m not saying that there wont be a “best overall” but they are seriously trying to help negate that 30% overall if you choose one. Stuff will never be “balanced”( whatever that means) it just has tradeoffs, like it should?
Yeah, I don’t really care. I admit, I don’t have to care because I’m still only going to do low keys and focus on mog, mounts and pets like I do every expansion. I wish there was a way for people who feel strongly about all this to all be happy, but Blizz will never be able to make everyone happy.
Oh well. Aesthetic all the way for me.
