We used to have to deal with rats sometimes in the chicken coop and yeah you never heard em. You may hear mice squeaking like little field mice but even then barely anything. The rats would use the mice in a way to scout out rat traps. The mice would go in get caught and the rats knew what to not step on. Smart little creatures!
I haven’t watched that movie yet but the CGI doesn’t surprise me. Well, especially for a rat waving it’s paw (good luck on getting a rat to do that).

Hehe yeah I’d imagine the rat would do its best because learning tricks is like. A drug for them. But they aren’t really built for waving. Even if its adorbs.
I don’t have any experience with wild rats. All my fun rat knowledge is just on the domesticated ones. But I know the wild ones are clever too like you pointed out.
Oh one more fun rat trivia thing. They’re ticklish and laugh when tickled. We just can’t hear it.

Ya gl catching them. Even the cat had issues trying to catch them if he was even able to. They were extremely smart and knew when bait was poisoned too. They would wait for the mice to eat it and if the mice died they knew not to eat it.
To add: I know that sounds bad but it was for live stock purposes. Was us or the rats LOL Pet rat different ball of wax all together.

Don’t know if I’d call my Charlie (tuxedo kitten) a “Battle Buddy” or not while playing WoW on my laptop, but it seems he’s more a “battle-with-the-computer” buddy as he loves laying on top the keyboard, and closing me out of the game LOL 
I love him to pieces though

This is Munch on Christmas. He loves to come over and boop me in the leg when he wants pets while I game. Or he’ll lay by my feet under the desk.
