Does anyone else get nightmares because of HC

I swear I get nightmares about some HC character of mine dying at least 2-3 times a month. I never used to dream about WoW before. This game mode messes with your psyche man :expressionless: I barely even play HC anymore either.

I think you’re taking it a bit too seriously if it is affecting your day-to-day life.

I remember having dreams about the game very early on back in the day.

I think its speaks to the level of immersion you experience when playing wow. I have played other mmo of course but none of them have ever pulled me in like wow.

The world feels lived in and lively. You travel down the road to jasperlode mine and it feels like a real journey, on the road to handle some serious business.

I am not suprised to hear that it would cause dreams or nightmares, with hardcore especially. Hardcore i feel turns that dial of immersion up to 100, because if you die, that journey in that current world is over you cant just run back to your corpse and keeping going.

I totally get it. I really do love this game, its a classic and people are still in here playing it for a reason.

I used to back when I began playing IronMan (the OG HC challenge) and again when Classic launched. Not any more. Immersion is the answer I think.

Witcher 3 actually gave me “good nightmares.” So does hardcore from time to time.

I had another nightmare :expressionless:
I was in what seemed like a 5 man group, and we were fighting this boss that had a pet bear. It was a hard fight but we came out on top and defeated her. But then, somehow I pulled a bunch of other mobs that we weren’t prepared for, and everyone started dying. One of the party members did a big AoE fear and that bought me some time. But ultimately I died too. See, these dreams are actually pretty involved. It’s crazy.

Unironically you need to take a break.

You shouldn’t be getting multiple nightmares over a video game that you play.

When i was much much younger, D2HC used to give me dreams. Wouldn’t call 'em nightmares but it definitely was something I remember.

These days, HC is nothing compared to the real world nightmares! go agane!
