Does anyone else find it funny

Blizzard has catered all of its attention to the PVE player base for years only to have them dip to final fantasy. HA HA !!!

looks like a really fun read, thanks for the based post

tbh it just made me sad and want to play ff14 more which made me more sad

While I liked PvE in other MMOs and not in WoW at all (outside healing), FFXIV has been pretty fun and don’t regret it

I dunno, it’s almost as if they “pulled the ripcord” like literally everyone suggested before expansion launch so people could play what they wanted and tailor it to pvp/m+/raid and individual bosses/matchups the whole system would’ve been good and entertaining…

instead it’s just a series of hardlocked chores where you feel punished if you try to do more than one area of content or Q into a bad matchup and the system is instead awful instead of rewarding.

If only they learned from legion when they said “yeah, locking people to one spec/artifact was a really bad idea”…

part of me wants to give them the benefit of the doubt and say they’re the new team so they didn’t have to learn these lessons

the other half of me just wants the old team back

blizzard has been “Weekend at Bernies” 'd for a while now.

Same, I had a lot more fun in pve with their monk than I do with wows these days.

The rotations on the few jobs I tried were just fun

gunbreaker best class

The Squall fantasy is strong in this one.
Did they ever release his mog like they did Cloud?

if u sub for a total of 330 days u get it

Yea, that’s what’s keeping a lot of my friends from jumping the WoW ship. FF14’s combat just doesn’t work for pvp, and there’s no sense of competition in the game, even in PVE.

Big daddy ashes is making a game that pvp is the main focus and the actual world is too.

I trust new video games like I do politicians.

I don’t.

Well, I’ll give some trust to a video game that is owned by the devs and isn’t publicly trading, meaning no stock holders to appease.

These devs have been talking to their playerbase this whole time, and when they are quoted in articles (paraphrasing) “we aren’t trying to make a game for everyone, if you don’t like the core concept then we won’t cater to you”

I just don’t want to bite the hype fruit. If it’s successful and executed well, I’ll check it out.

I played their stress test, that combat was fun.
As was a good first look at what they had.

I understand not wanting to be hyped, but doesn’t mean you should just ignore.

Don’t give any money and just watch what they do.

They do dev live updates constantly showing what they are currently working on.

This is the kind of company we want giving us a game.

Their goal is to make sure they never go p2w and never have to trade publicly, so the control is 100% in their hands.

If this game is even just a quarter of it’s potential it will be leagues ahead of what I am looking for in WoW.

Blizzard forgot the most important part that is WoW, the first W, the world.
